Top 10 Most Outrageous Statements of Barack Obama's Pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright

Crutnacker
Videotapes that recently came out show the Pastor of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, Jeremiah Wright, making controversial statements such as the government created AIDS to infect minorities and that US Foriegn Policy brought about 9/11. Barack Obama has indicated that he missed those days at church, and only attends when the sermons are about the beauty of rainbows and sunsets. Here are some other controversial statements that the Reverend Wright has made at the pulpit of the Trinity United Church of Christ. Again, Barack Obama slept late on these Sundays and was NOT present for these statements.

10. I don't care what anyone says, that Pauly Shore sure is funny.
9. Jerry Mathers was killed in Vietnam by lethal combination of Mountain Dew and Pop Rocks because he knew too much about what happened to the original Lionel on the Jeffersons.
8. White people are better than black people at bowling because they have such poor taste in shoes.
7. The Government created halitosis as a way of keeping people of color from kissing each other.
6. Dick Sargent was a better Darrin than Dick York.
5. Milli Vanilli deserved their Grammy, no matter who was singing.
4. The Star Wars prequel trilogy was far superior to the Original Trilogy.
3. Chunky Bars are far tastier than Snickers.
2. George Bush is the worst President ever. (Oh wait, that's true.)
1. Hilary Clinton breakfasts on kittens and eats babies for a midnight snack.

Here's my issue: If we're going to hold reverends accountable for presidential elections, then shouldn't we be eyeing McCain too? McCain's friend, late Rev. Jerry Falwell, who said 9/11 was retribution from God, and Rev. John Hagee who said the Catholic Church "thirsted for the blood of the Jewish people" thoughout its history and that Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans to prevent a gay pride march? Do Obama naysayers hate him for his disrespect for homosexuality and translationof September 11th too? And just an FYI, if you want to find out more about why Rev. Wright may have a point about HIV/AIDS being a manmade disease, check out this six-part YouTube video set: http://www.youtube.com/v/Ml7q6iMwqLY&hl=en

You know, the whole thing about the Government creating AIDS was just a bit outrageous. Just a little bit.

Actually, I've yet to hear this six-year veteran and outstanding reverend say ANYTHING that was outlandish. Sometimes the truth is hard to bear, but it is what it is.

Excellent! I too never saw the big deal with lip synching (or stealing other folks work).

Considering what he DID say, it wouldn't be too hard to believe he said these, too. Good article.

Excellent Top 10, my friend. Who would've known that #2 could be funny AND true at the same time? Except for Itlalians, I think #8 is true as well. (Some of these are eerily too close to call...)
