Top 10 Movie Villain Halloween Costumes for Adults

While there may be dozens of movie villain Halloween costumes available for men, there are actually quite a few for women, as well. Think of your favorite movie(s) -- who is the 'villain' of the story? Some movies may not actually have a true villain, but many do, from Harry Potter to Disney's 101 Dalmatians . I have come up with a list of my favorite ten movie villains for both men and women.

1. Voldemort. He is an evil wizard, whose only goal is to kill Harry Potter and rule the wizarding world in the movies based on J.K. Rowling's book series. Voldemort wears black robes and has a sallow face with slits for nostrils.

2. Bellatrix Lestrange. Bellatrix is one of Voldemort's most devout followers. She has a thing for torturing people, and truly looks evil with her long, curly black hair, pointy nose and mean eyes.

3. The Joker. This villain from the Batman movies dresses like a Joker to hide his identity and his scarred face. Wear a clown outfit and white face makeup, with colored makeup around your eyes. Don't forget the lipstick that stretches out way past your mouth.

4. Elizabeth Bathory. ' The Blood Countess', as she is known, was thought to have tortured and killed hundreds of girls in Hungary. She then bathed in their blood to retain her youth. To look like a Blood Countess, wear a long, velvet gown and cover yourself in fake blood.

5. Darth Vader. He is the villain of the original Star Wars trilogy. Darth Vader wears a black, metal suit, helmet and a long, flowing black cape.

6. Victoria. Victoria is the redheaded vampire from the Twilight series, out to avenge the death of a loved one. If you do not have red hair, you will need a wig, as well as some plastic fangs.

7. The Terminator. Arnold Schwarzenegger played the star role in the Terminator movies. He wore a tight fitting black t-shirt, biker clothes and dark sunglasses. You can achieve the look of flesh peeling away from a metal skeleton using a metal plate, tinfoil and skin putty.

8. Nurse Ratched. Mildred Ratched is a nurse in the film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest who uses humiliating tactics to suppress the patients of a mental hospital. To dress as Nurse Ratched, simply wear hospital scrubs or a white jacket, pin your hair up and place a white hospital cap on top.

9. Dr. Evil. He is an evil genius in the Austin Powers films. Dr. Evil wears a gray suit, has a bald head, and his right hand is always near his mouth.

10. Cruella de Vil. Cruella is the notorious fashionista from 101 Dalmatians, who desperately wants a fur coat made from dalmatian hide, and she will do anything to get it. She wears animal fur clothes, long gloves, and has hair that is black on her right side and white on the left.
