Of course we have to start with number 10. The top 10 movie would definitely have to be Hairspray. This musical featuring stars like John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Queen Latifah and Amanda Bynes in a true musical about Tracy wanting to dance in Baltimore's Hippest Dance Party on TV. This story follows Tracy as she struggles to achieve her dream.
Number 9 would have to be The Simpsons Movie. It brings all the classic characters from Springfield to the big screen to show what happens when rules are broken and how you need to stand up for what you believe in.
Sicko comes in number 8for the best documentary, this is another one of Michael Moore's Documentaries this time he follows the America Health Care system. He reviles the truths you did know about your health care system and some stuff you probably didn't want to know.
At number 7 we have The Bourne Ultimatum. This is the final movie the Bourne Trilogy. Jason Bourne comes home to New York City and everything ties in together.
Number 6 is I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. This movie follows 2 very straight guys trying to act gay to protect Larry's Kids. This is one of the best comedies of the year and has an all star cast of Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Jessica Beil.
No surprise this movie made it on the top 10, at number 5 is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The number 4 movie of the 7 part series came out this year and this series is definitely addicting. The graphics and acting are breath taking.
At number 4 we have Pirates of the Caribbean at World's End. The cast comes back for one last movies to finish the fight. This all star cast and amazing acting brought together with top notch graphics make for a great movie!
The movie 300 comes in at number 3. The movie about the Spartans gives us a glimpse into history while showing us the true meaning of worriers and the sacrifices made. The gruesome graphics defiantly put this movie over the top.
Many will agree that the number 2 movie is Knocked Up. With a funny and unique story line it will have you laughing. You know any movie that is advertised with the line, 'A Few Drinks and a One-Nighter, now she's Knocked Up...' is going to be funny!
And now, for the number one movie of the year, Transformers. This is the long awaited movie for all Transformers fans. I will admit I went in with some friends to watch this movie and didn't think I would like it, when I came out I had defiantly fallen in love with the movie! The story line is amazing and the graphics are mind blowing. Plus there are tons of parts to keep you laughing.
I hope these movie selection will make it easier for you to pick a movie for movie night. Have fun and let's see what 2008 can bring!
