10. Out Cold- Bull Mountain, Alaska is a down home ski resort run by snowboard bums who are more interested in partying than being profitable. The founder's son, looks to sell the resort to a business mogul. When the mogul's stepdaughter shows up, love and business get complicated. This movie stars James London, AJ Cook, David Denman, and David Koechner to name a few. If you can't make it to the slopes on a snow day, you will enjoy living vicariously through this movie!
9. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe- This movie is based on the popular Children's novel published in the 1950's. The story takes place in the 1940's when three siblings are sent to stay with a professor during World War 2. While playing hide and seek, Lucy discovers a portal into another world. She and her siblings spend time in Narnia where they battle the evil of the White witch. Watching this during a snow day will make you feel like you are in Narnia! The cast includes: Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, William Moseley and Anna Popplewell as the Pevensie siblings.
8. You will laugh as you watch Napoleon Dynamite, a nerd who lives with his grandma, help his friend Pedro run for class president. Then there's Kip, Napoleon's nerd brother who's searching for love online. Throw in Rico, Napoleon's uncle who doesn't seem to care for anyone other than himself, and you have a recipe for laughs and memorable quotes. Starring: John Heder, Jon Gries, Aaron Ruell, Efren Ramirez. A snow day classic as you escape the ho-hums of every day life.
7. Snowed in with a significant other? If so, pop The Notebook into the DVD player and watch the young love, lost love, and true love in old age. James Garner truly revitalizes ones belief that love is worth living and dying for as he fights for his first, true love. No matter how many times you've seen this movie, it's always worth watching as James recounts what true love is. The cast includes Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams, James Garner, and Gena Rowlands.
6. When Harry Met Sally- Always a classic! This movie has a much more realistic view of falling in love than many other movies. It plays on the love-hate relationship most go through when dating. This movie has a unique blend of comedy, drama and romance as it explores the long building friendship between Harry and Sally over many years. Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan truly bring these characters to life. This movie made the list since it beats many sappy romantic comedies.
5. Happy Feet will take your winter blues away! This is the story of a little penguin named Mumble who discovers his talent for tap dancing. Mumble's dad is concerned with his lack of Heartsong, and thinks Mumble will never find true love. The Elders cast him out of the community and Mumble sets out and stumbles upon some adventures, and shows that being true to yourself is the best way to go! The following actors provide their voices to these cartoon characters: Robin Williams, Elijah Wood, Brittany Murphy, Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman.
4. The Hangover- This movie is about 4 friends who go to Vegas for a bachelor party and get out of control. The next morning, the groom is missing and no one can remember anything. The wedding is planned for the next day, so follow these friends while they search for the groom and recount their hilarious adventures! Starring Heather Graham, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha. Live vicariously though this cast if you can't get away!
3. My sister's keeper- This tear jerker movie follows Sara and Brian Fitzgerald's life as they learn that their daughter is diagnosed with leukemia. The parents' only hope is to have another child, specifically intended to save Kate's life. Kate sees what this is doing to not only their family, but also to Anna and decides to take control. Abigail Breslin and Cameron Diaz bring this movie to life!
2. The Dark Night- A year after the events of Batman Begins, a sadistic criminal mastermind known as the Joker appears in Gotham, creating a new wave of upheaval. Batman's struggle against Joker becomes very personal. Starring Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, and Maggie Gyllenhaal. If not for the plot, this is a must see as one of Heath's last performances.

The acting is Ok and the entertainment- good. Perfect for the whole family. This movie stars: Chevy Chase, Chris Elliot, Jean Smart, Iggy Pop, etc.
