Very excited to see the Iron Man sequel with Robert Downey Jr., Mickey Rourke, and Scarlett Johansson.
2 When Your Strange
Said to be much better, and more to the fact than Oliver Stone's 1991 biopic on Jim Morrison and the Doors. But of course, Stone's film was not an accurate depiction of Morrison's true life. This documentary is directed by Tom DiCillo and he reveals archival footage of Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore as the leave their musical mark on the 1960s.
3 The Twilight Saga: New Moon
Are you Team Jacob, or Team Edward? You can't help but be pulled into this series starring Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson both of whom fight for Bella (played by Kristen Stewart).
4 Dear John
From the novel by Nicholas Sparks, need I say more? I adore Sparks and his quality of writing that is always filled with depth and profound meaning. He is truly an unforgettable writer!
5 A Nightmare on Elm Street
Yes, they are remaking Wes Craven's 1984 horror classic, the one that spawned six sequels. This time Michael Bay will be one of the producers who bring back Freddy Krueger.
6 Letters to Juliet
Amanda Seyfried stars as Sophie, a researching from New York who while in Verona, Italy discovers letters that were left on the wall next to Juliet's balcony. She comes across a letter dated 1957 by Claire, played by Vanessa Redgrave.
7 Killers
Ashton Kutcher plays his gigolo role to perfection, and Katherine Heigl played the neurotic wife with conviction, nervousness, and absolute charm. This was without a doubt one of Heigl's best played, and perhaps most likable, and understandable role to date.
8 Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Jake Gyllenhaal stars in this action/adventure/fantasy/romance. Based on the video game, which follows an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.
9 Brothers
There are two sides to every family. The plot centers around a young man who comforts his older brother's wife and children after he goes missing in Afghanistan. This movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire as brothers who love and learn to despise each other in the ways they are different. Natalie Portman plays Grace, Jake's husband in a role that is greatly different from her typical roles. This drama/thriller gives you a side of war, and the repercussions of it. You will never forget this film, ever! Gyllenhaal and Maguire's best and most believably serious roles to date!
10 This Is It
Check out the two-hour concert film that was pulled from 120 hours of video footage of Michael Jackson rehearsing for his comeback. The rehearsal footage was released after Jackson died at age 50 on June 25th. RIP Michael!
