Rhymes are a good means to help your child develop the essential oral skills and motor skills. It is likely that you will find various versions of some of the popular rhymes. It is alright to teach any of them as long as your child is enjoying. Try to make them participate when you are singing it to them. They usually learn the actions first and pick up couple of words. Encourage them to learn more by repeating them when you think they are enjoying. Never pressurize them to memorize the words. It should be fun. Appreciate them at their little successes whether it is an attempt to speak a new word or do an action correctly.
Apart from these there a lot of other popular rhymes which they can attempt at a later stage. To make the process faster and easier I have linked them to their respective videos.
She'll be coming round the mountain.
And the list goes on.
I must say my daughter enjoys some of them more than others. She keeps singing them in her own way. She also does some actions in order to tell me to sing that specific rhyme. Look for such signals and build on them. This is a great beginning. Have fun with your kid.
