Top 10 NASCAR Driver Tribute Videos

Robert Rhodes
I have been a NASCAR fan since 1993, and the sport has lost a lot of drivers in that time. When a driver is killed, you can always count on places like YouTube and Google to be full of tribute videos within a day or two. I have seen most of them, and these are my 10 favorite. The last two were created by me.

Title: NASCAR Tribute

Author's Description: A collection of photos of Davey Allison, Neil Bonnett, Alan Kulwicki, and Earnhardt.

My Thoughts: This is a great video featuring some of the greats we've lost over the years. I features the song Only God Knows Why by Kid Rock.

Title: Drivers In Heaven

Author's Description: A great tribute to the drivers Nascar has lost in the last decade.

My Thoughts: This video was done to the song Drivers In Heaven and the timing was just about perfect. If you've ever heard this song you know it mentions some drivers names, and this video shows pictures of them at just the right time.

Title: NASCAR Drivers In Heaven

Author's Description: "Drivers in Heaven" is an enhanced video footage created for Racing Fans all over the globe. Contains a great compilation never seen before tracks and clips from past to present. By far the best video ever made that can actually be called a COMPILATION without any regret.

My Thoughts: This really is one of the best tribute videos i've seen. Unlike most, this one features video clips instead of all images. It also features the updated version of Drivers In Heaven that was done after Dale Earnhardt's death.

Title: Asphalt Angels Are Drivers In Heaven

Author's Description: Song Asphalt Angels done by Drivin' Sideways. Tribute to many drivers who have passed over the years. Most are from NASCAR series and include Kulwicki, Allison, Petty, Earnhardt, Irwin, Bonnett and more.

My Thoughts: This video not only features the song Asphalt Angels but Drivers In Heaven and The Dance aswell. What I like about it is that the author included on each image when and where the driver died.

Title: Dale Earnhardt Tribute Video

Author's Description: Video tribute highlighting the life and career of Dale Earnhardt. I made this video a couple years ago in his honour. Music by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

My Thoughts: This is a tribute video for Dale Earnhardt. It features some old photos of Earnhardt, including childhood photos.

Title: Dale Earnhardt Tribute

Author's Description: My Tribute to Dale Earnhardt with music by Brad Paisley.

My Thoughts: This is a great video because it shows a lot of the aftermath of Earhardt's death, including fan and driver reaction.

Title: Hendrick Tragedy Tribute

Author's Description: It's almost been 2 years since the Plane went down, I know i'll never forget the race at atlanta the following week. This video pays tribute to Jimmie's win, and to the ones lost on that tragic day.... All fans will never forget.

My Thoughts: I'm not really a big fan of the Hendrick drivers, but this video shows how strong and human this team really is.

Title: Benny Parsons: A Tribute To A Legend

Author's Description: Benny was a NASCAR DRIVER, but more than that he was a FAN FRIEND.

My Thoughts: The only bad thing about this video is That they used the same images too many times, but the music, race audio, and effects make up for that big time.

Title: NASCAR Legends: Gone But Not Forgotten

Author's Description: This video is a tribute to some of the NASCAR drivers we've lost over the years. I may have missed some, or not shown some enough. I used the images I had to work with. This video was created with Momento Express.

My Thoughts: This video was actually created by me for Associated Content. It's not my best work, but it was my first video. Part of the problem is that I had to make it lower quality to keep the file size below the limit.

Title: Dale Earnhardt Tribute: Remembering a True Legend

Author's Description: The 2007 Daytona 500 will be on February 18th, 6 years to the day that Dale Earnhardt was killed in the 2001 Daytona 500.

My Thoughts: This video was also created by me for Associated Content. Of all my videos, I am most proud of this one. I made this for the 6th anniversary of his death. Get out the tissues before watching.

It's such a shame that fans of the dead guy love the kid. He SUCKS!

My husband owns all of the Earnhardt tribute videos, because he was a HUGE fan (he even looks like Earnhardt). I think he has some of these others, but I will have to check. Because I'd like to get him the videos on this list that he doesn't already own. Good list.

I'm not a big NASCAR fan at all, but I have a few buddies who may be interested in these.
