For the second consecutive season the Indianapolis Colts started at 9-0. That winning streak back to back is the only in NFL's history. Many don't see them winning the AFC because of their run-defense, but others have all faith in them.
(2) Bears
There are 58 days until the Super Bowl, and a lot of fans are rooting for the Chicago Bears. Quarterback Rex Grossman isn't perfect, but he has helped the team lead the NFC North. The Bears were 10-2 at last check.
(3) Chargers
Tomlinson of the San Diego Chargers has already broken records. He scored 15 touchdowns in 5 weeks and has rushed over 100! Their Quarterback Phillip Rivers has also shown talent and skill this year.
(4) Broncos
Denver is one of the 5 teams fighting for a spot in the AFC playoffs. The last three losses leaves me wondering if they have what it takes. On a better note, the Denver Broncos has been a fan favorite for decades and I don't see a few losses turning them away either. They are 7-2 at the moment.
(5) Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens have done pretty well this season. Brian Billick is now calling the offensive plays, and putting the Ravens back in winning mode.
(6) Patriots
The New England Patriots are far from being as they were last year. They have had a few back to back losses in 2006, and that hasn't happened in over 50 weeks! Currently the Patriots are 9-3 and first in the AFC East.
(7) Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks are 8-4 so far and 5-1 on their home field. This makes them #1 in the NFC West. On December 5th, a news release stated that the team put Scobey on injury reserve and released Quarterback Gibran Hamdan. With the recent roster changes, it's going to be interesting to see what happens the rest of the season.
(8) Giants
The New York Giants have suffered from a lot of injuries thus far. How many? 7! There are 4 players that are out with foot and knee injuries and 3 others on the injured reserve list. The Giants are 6-6, and are ranked second in the NFC East.
(9) Saints
The New Orleans Saints is the favorite team along the Southern Gulf States. They lead the NFC South with a season of 8-4. In the last game versus San Francisco, Reggie Bush scored all of the team's touchdowns! Team member Thomas, aka "the Tank," has been under controversy lately for testing positive for a steroid. He denies the claim, and doctors say his asthma medication may be the reason why such a "false steroid" showed up.
(10) Cowboys
NFC East leader is the Dallas Cowboys. New Quarterback Tony Romo has done wonders for the Cowboys this year. They are now 8-4! The team now has a strong safety, Tony Parrish, who was originally cut from the 49ers. Dallas has not had much in the experienced performers department, but they seem to be doing just fine.
