Top 10 Party Songs for the 4th of July

Faith Dosier
The Fourth of July is almost here and you must have the playlist ready for the backyard barbeque. Let's face it on the 4th of July now one is partying to patriotic songs. It's all about celebrating one of the most patriotic days of the year with friends and family and having a great time but without music it really would be just another day so here is my list and I hope you enjoy it.

1. Let's get the party started-Pink

Need I really say more its all about getting ready to party and to party hard! I loved this party anthem when it came out in 2001 and still rock it hard in my ipod anytime I'm hitting the treadmill at the gym.

2. Love Shack-B-52's

Another winner of course.

3. Billie Jean-Michael Jackson

It's just hot and you can't deny it at all but really he was truly one of the world's greatest entertainers so you know any song of his will be a winner.

4. In Da Club-50 Cent

Yep this is when 50 could do no wrong days I think this may have been one of his first major hits and I wore that CD out.

5. Party like its 1999-Prince

6. Staying Alive-The BeeGee's

It quite obvious that a party is not a party unless you spin at least one BeeGee's hit. You must play at least one BeeGee's track in order to have a well balanced party.

7. Ice Ice Baby-Vanilla Ice

People laughed at him for a bit but come on he had it going on. Which leads me to the next super hot hit from that same era.

8. You can't touch this-Mc Hammer

You cannot put Hammer on and have a dead party, its just not possible. Have you ever seen anyone sit down when Hammer is played? At a wedding, party, beach anywhere...nope never.

9. Y.M.C.A-The Village People

Try as you might you know people feel compelled to start spelling out the letters with the song. Young and old they all do. Now put your hands up in the air and spell it too!

10. Rock With You-Michael Jackson

I really can't say it enough he was the baddest and anytime one of his songs come on I never skip over it. All I can do is crank the volume up and move. If you don't have these songs yet make sure you grab them. You can purchase all of these songs online at iTunes and Amazon music. Enjoy your 4th of July.
