Future Sex/Love Sounds-Justin Timberlake

The second album Future Sex/Love Sounds helped transform Justin Timberlake from the young boy next door to the sexy musical icon that women have grown to admire. Timberlake helped form a new word known as SexyBack, while showcasing his strong vocals and massive sex appeal. With Timbaland producing the album, Timberlake was able to broaden his musical styles and knowledge on the album. Featured tracks include "
"SexyBack", "My Love", and "What Goes Around.."

Laundry Service-Shakira

After releasing several low-key albums, Colombia native Shakira exploded on the American music scene with 2001's Laundry Service. The up-beat debut single "Whenever, Wherever" became an International hit for Shakira as it hit top charts in several countries. The ballad "Underneath Your Clothes" was another hit for the singer as it featured heartfelt lyrics of unconditional love.

Breakaway-Kelly Clarkson

Breakaway, the 2nd album released by Kelly Clarkson, helped differentiate her as a musical artist instead of being a reality show contestant. Released in 2004, the album helped define Clarkson as a songwriter with tracks such as "Behind Those Hazel Eyes", the piano-driven ballad "Because of You", and "Addicted".

Love.Angel.Music.Baby.-Gwen Stefani

In 2004, listeners were eager to hear Gwen Stefani's first pop solo album Love.Angel.Music.Baby. The record was heavily influenced by 80s bands/artists including pop icon Madonna. The album featured major collaborations with producers and other musical artists including Eve, Andre 3000, and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Several tracks reached the top 10 charts including "What You Waiting For" and "Hollaback Girl".

The Fame-Lady Gaga

In 2008, listeners were introduced to a Pop/Dance/Techno singer named Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga pushed boundaries with her style, appearance, and emotionally-driven lyrics. Shortly after releasing The Fame, Lady Gaga quickly rose as being one of the top artists of the decade. Fans were first introduced to the singer on her club-anthem "Just Dance". The track had plenty of airplay and was a hit in clubs across the Nation. Lady Gaga had several other hits on the album including the emotional-penned track "Paparazzi" and the dance hit "PokerFace". In 2009, Lady Gaga re-released the album adding new remixes and a few new tracks.

Circus-Britney Spears

In 2008, eager fans anticipated the major comeback album from Britney Spears. Circus crossed new boundaries for Spears, as it featured electropop sounds, which helped gain much success on the top of the charts. The first single "Womanizer" was an instant success as it featured male-bashing lyrics and an up-beat electropop sound. Other hits off the album include "Circus" and "Radar".

I'm Not Dead-Pink

In 2006, fans noticed the release of Pink's I'm Not Dead. The fourth album from the singer featured personal and political-driven tracks, which enticed fans to purchase the album. The album spawned 3 mega hits for Pink including "Who Knew", "U + Ur Hand", and the first single off the album "Stupid Girls". The track "Dear Mr. President" was a rhetorical questioned letter to former President Bush about the war and other politically-charged remarks.

Monkey Business-Black Eyed Peas

Certified 3x Platinum, 2005's Monkey Business was an overnight success for soul/pop group Black Eyed Peas. "Don't Phunk with my Heart", the first track off the album, featured Indian-inspired music and vocal interpolations from Lisa Lisa and Cult Jams' "I Wonder if I Take You Home". "My Humps", the third single, featured female vocalist Fergie rapping and singing about her "lovely lady lumps" and was an instant nightclub success for the group. Other featured tracks include "Don't Lie" and "Union" featuring Sting.

The Emancipation of Mimi-Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey's 10th album The Emancipation of Mimi, was the best-selling album since Daydream. The album featured major collaborations from The Neptunes, Kanye West, and Jermaine Dupri. The album featured several top Billboard hits including the first single "It's Like That", the ballad "We Belong Together", the Snoop Dogg collaboration "Say Somethin'", and many more hits.

Hard Candy-Madonna

Madonna's 11th and final studio album Hard Candy helped redefine her as the artist in which fans first became familiar with in the 80s-90s. The album helped the singer end her recordings on a high note. The album featured club-inspired tracks including "4 Minutes", which was a collaboration with Justin Timberlake and produced by Timbaland. The track had urban appeal and featured an up-beat tempo. "Give it to Me" was another track that helped Madonna get placed on top of the charts, as it featured another collaboration with the Neptunes' Pharrell Williams.
