Top 10 Ranked New Comedy Movies 2009-2010 for Those Over 50

The 10 top ranked new Comedy movies for 2009 and 2010 for those individuals over the age of 50 have been chosen. After careful consideration, an informal group of men and woman over the age of 50 watched movie trailers and chose their top 10 picks of Comedy movies soon to be released.

The Spy Next Door to be released 1-15-09 is an Action-Comedy. A neighbor is asked to watch the children next door. After one of the children accidentally downloads a secret code, secret agents appear and the neighbor has to protect the children. Director - Brian Levant. Cast - Jackie Chan, Billy Ray, George Lopez, Madeline Carroll, Alina Foley.

Old Dogs to be released 11-25-09. After some zany mishaps, two friends end up being watched by two - 7-year-old twins as their babysitter. Director - Walter Becker. Cast - John Travolta, Robin Williams.

Up in the Air to be released 12-4-09 is a Comedy-Romance. A corporate downsizing agent, whose job is threatened, meets the girl of his dreams just as he's close to reaching his ten million frequent flyer miles. Director - Jason Reitman. Cast - George Clooney, Vira Farmiga, Anna Kendrick, Ellen Page and Emily Blunt.

Serious Moonlight to be released 12-4-09 is a Comedy-Romance. A romantic weekend in the country goes awry when a high powered lawyer finds out her husband wants to leave her after 13 years for a younger woman. The wife holds the husband captive so he will agree to work on their marriage. Director - Cheryl Hines. Cast - Meg Ryan, Timothy Hutton, Kristen Bell and Justin Long.

Valentine's Day to be released 2-12-10 is a Romantic-Comedy. A funny movie involving 10 people's lives crossing each other's paths over Valentine's Day in Los Angeles. Director - Peter Bearman. Cast - Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Joe Jonas, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Patrick Dempsey, Jamie Foxx, Taylor Lautner and Queen Latifah.

Hot Tub Machine to be released 2-26-10. A hot tub that' a time machine takes several men back in time for self-discovery. Director - Steve Pink. Cast - John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, Lizzy Caplan, Crispin Glover and Sebastian Stan.

When in Rome to be released 1-29-10 is a Comedy-Romance. An ambitious woman New Yorker takes a comical trip to Rome. She takes magic coins out of a "special" fountain that leads to several romantic interludes. Director - Mark Steven Johnson. Cast - Kristen Bell, Josh Duhamel.

Everybody's Fine opens 12-4-09. A lonely widower takes a trip to see his children to reconnect. Director - Kirk Jones. Cast - Robert De Niro, Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale, Same Rockwell.

Tooth Fairy opens 1-22-10. A pro hockey player knocks the teeth from his opponents and the dream of the Tooth Fairy from a young boy. He is sentenced to play the Tooth Fairy for one week. Director - Michael Lembeck. Cast - Dwayne Johnson, Ashley Judd, Julie Andrews, Stephen Merchant, Ryan Scheckler.

I Love you Phillip Morris opens 2-5-10. Phillip Morris is a conman who makes several jail breaks to be with and old cellmate. Director - Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. Cast - Jim Carrey, Ewan Mcgregor, Leslie Mann, Rodrigo Santoro, Tommy Davis, Trey Burvant, Brennan Brown, Marylouise Burke, DeVere Jehl.

    all the movies you have listed above are either romantic comedies or just bad comedies. the tooth fairy...the rock? seriously? hot tub time machine was alright but other than that this list sucks

    "The Hot Tub Time Machine" sounds like it will be ridiculousy fun! I'm really looking forward to "Up In The Air."

    Am not over 50, yet, but I will surely watch Old Dogs coz I like John Travolta and Robin Williams. Nice work.
