It's important as you begin to think about a career to consider college. College can become a gateway to opening different opportunities such as the job of your dreams. Life experience can only take you so far in the workforce. More employers are looking for a college degree than ever before. That degree is the secret weapon toward getting the job of your dreams.

After high school, the options are endless. College, work, or just work and no college. Kids have more options than ever before. The one solid key to a successful future is, and always will be, college. College is the path to a successful future. Kids that go to college are more likely to succeed, even if they don't end up in a job from their degree.

On the other hand, in a downward economy, many people are getting jobs that have nothing to do with their degree. Because they have their degree, getting a job will be that much easier.     My 23 year old son (who will be graduating next month) and I were just talking about this very issue this morning. If anything, a college degree shows that you have initiative, are willing to improve yourself, and have a certain amount of stick-to-it-ness that employers want to see. In this economy, without a degree, your future is definitely limited.
