10- Socials: Socials are when a fraternity and sorority get together to have an exclusive event. Socials range from reserving a few lanes at the bowling alley to pairing off in couples and having game nights. These are excellent ways for fraternities and sororities to have a great time, get to know each other, as well as to meet new people.

9- Competition: Whether it is intramurals, grades, or parties, Greek chapters are always competing with other chapters on campus to be the best. Most campuses host a Greek Week or Greek Cup competition annually where all the Greek chapters compete in several categories to see who is the best. The competitions become quite intense however it is an experience like no other.

8- Parties: Yes this is the stereotypical Greek. Partying gives Greeks a bad name but Greeks like to have a good time just like, if not even more, than the next person. At parties Greeks interact and have a good time with all their brothers or sisters and let loose, often resulting in amazingly hilarious stories to tell people on the dreadful day of the week called Monday.

7- Rush: Rush makes every member a good salesperson. Before each rush, most fraternities have rush workshops to teach everyone how to sell their fraternity to the soon to come potential new members. Rush is key to keeping the chapter going so each member relearns their history of awards, accomplishes, and reasons why their fraternity is the best to persuade potentials to join.

6- Grades: On average most Greek organizations are above the campus average GPA. This is because there is always help and motivation around Greek students. Often older members have already taken a specific class or had a certain professor and can help younger members with study tips or tutoring. Also it is common to have your brothers or sisters in the same class, which become instant study buddies or can take notes in case of a missed class.

5- Employment: With Greek organization comes networking. Members often meet alumni who are very successful and own their own businesses who are willing to hire their non-graduate brothers or sisters for summer internships and even permanent positions after they graduate. If you cannot find a successful alumni in your field of study more likely than not they know of someone in a high position of your field that will be willing to help you out.

4- Sense of Belonging: Everyone has the need to belong to some group. Going Greek is the perfect way to fill that need. It gets everyone involved and feels like they are a part of something good. Each member helps with community service, is challenged by their chapter to become a leader, and is surrounded by great friends.

3- Leadership: Greek Life develops leaders. Anyone and everyone in their Greek organization can get into a leadership role in their chapter or on campus. No leadership experience? That's perfectly all right, start at the bottom by taking a committee chair position and work you way up to the chapter's executive board or even president. Also since many Greeks are involved in on campus it is easy to achieve positions in the universities clubs, organizations, and student government.

2- Friendship: There is always someone there to help when in need. Whether it is a test coming up, car troubles, family problems, or girl/boy friend advice, a brother or sister is always just a call away. And once members get older and move off campus these people will most likely be your roommates for years to come. Some of the friendships formed will remain for the rest of your life.

1- Lifetime: The friendships a person forms during their Greek experience are ones that will last forever. The brothers or sisters in the chapter meeting are often going to be the best man or bridesmaid at your wedding. The leadership abilities each member learns is taken out to the world to be used in everyday life and will help them achieve greatness.
