Top 10 Resolutions for Seattleites

Get in Shape in 2009 Seattle

Sarah Toce
1. Stop complaining that your professional teams are not doing well and then rally behind them when they are doing better. It's not appealing.

2. No more using the word "Hella". We're not in California and even if we were, stop it.

3. Get with the times and approve a rail system like New York or Chicago. D.C. has better transit than Seattle and that is just sad.

4. Don't put a jail in White Center. That is just not helping anything and you know it.

5. I don't care how much it rains - precipitation does not warrant forgetting how to drive.

6. Support your causes and stick with them to the end. It worked in the 2008 election - imagine what can happen in 2009.

7. Remember that just because some people work at Microsoft, it doesn't mean everyone can afford a $2.5 million dollar house. Keep in touch, Seattle.

8. The viaduct is not going to build itself. Be responsible and get a plan going this year before the unthinkable happens.

9. Stop building condos. No one can afford to live in them right now anyway.

10. Help the homeless more - there is no reason why with so many millionaires there are still people sleeping on the street.
