The Black Diamond Oyster Bar
This restaurant has been dubbed "The Best Seafood Restaurant in Corpus Christi". The menu consists of every seafood imaginable- shrimp, fish, oysters, and gumbo. While, there is a beautiful aquarium situated in the restaurant, but don't be surprised, this is not a fancy restaurant. This restaurant will not distract you with piano music and tuxedo-wearing waiters; they let the food do all the talking! It's this quality of food that keeps customers flocking to this eatery all year long! Because of the popularity of this restaurant, call ahead especially for dinner. The prices are fair. The address is 7202 S Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78412 and the phone number is (361) 992-2432.
Tokyo Den
Now, I understand that not everyone loves sushi as much as I do, but I just had to include the Tokyo Den on my list of best restaurants. The second I moved to Japan, sushi claimed its place in my heart and has resided there ever since. But for those who don't like sushi, this eatery even accommodates those who don't like sushi with a full menu of both Japanese and Korean food. If you're feeling adventurous try some gyoza or yakitori as an appetizer. This is a casual restaurant and is usually busiest around dinner. The address is 5625 South Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78412 and the phone number is (361) 992-9611.
La Playa Mexican Cafe
This restaurant has great, authentic Mexican food. Of course, fajitas in general are delicious but theirs are superb. This eatery is very casual and prices are reasonable (usually around $10). This is a great place to try something new because literally everything on the menu is delectable so you can't go wrong. The address is 7118 South Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78412 and the phone number is (361) 980-3909.
Aladdin's Restaurant and International Cafe
In case you haven't tried it, Middle Eastern food is delicious and the chefs of this restaurant know how to make it well! The Internet address is aladdinscafe.net and it has a complete menu of all of the different foods they serve. This is a great, laid back restaurant to visit and can get busy during lunch. Gyros and kabobs are wonderful, but there are many great dishes to chose from. The website lists the price range as being from $3.00 to $22.95, but I usually spend around $15. They are open everyday but Monday, and the hours are posted on the website. The address is 7010 S.P.I.D, Corpus Christi, TX 78412 and the phone number is (361) 991-5267.
Padre Pizzeria & Gourmet Grill
This place, without a doubt, has the best pizza in all of Corpus Christi. I've eaten pizza in Venice, Italy and this restaurant is pretty amazing. The prices are fair, and like most restaurants in Corpus Christi this one is casual and the prices are fair. They can get busy, but you can get away with not making reservations. The address is 14993 South Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78418 and the phone number is (361) 949-0787.
Thai Spice
This is a great Thai restaurant with a variety of foods from seafood to sushi, but they all have a distinctive Asian taste. The Sweet and Sour Delite Chicken & Shrimp is wonderful and prices average around $10, but lunch specials are as low as $7. The restaurant is open all week from 11am to 11pm and the phone number is (361) 883-8884. The address is 601 N Shoreline Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78401.
Longhorn Steak & Ale
This restaurant, by far, has the best steak in Corpus Christi. Dining is casual and service is phenomenal. The prices are reasonable and dress is casual. The address is 4307 Avalon Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78412 and the phone number is (361) 992-7731.
Andy's Kitchen
This place has great American food and it's one of the best places to go for breakfast. It's super homey and therefore, super casual. Their omelettes are great and the prices are super low. The address is 5802 S Staples Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78413 and the phone number is (361) 993-0251.
Snoopy's Pier
For the sake of variety, Snoopy's is the second seafood restaurant on this list. It has great food, in particular, fish & chips is the best. The dishes are well priced and dress is casual. The address is 13313 S Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78418 and the phone number is (361) 949-8815.
Price's Chef Incorporated
This was the first diner I had ever been to and the burgers were great! It's casual and easy on the wallet. Don't leave Corpus Christi without eating here, because the staff super is friendly. The address is 1800 S Alameda St, Corpus Christi, TX 78404 and the phone number is (361) 883-2786.

Post a CommentWho made this list? Its a pretty bad list of local best of the bests. Though I will admit that Black Diamond Oyster Bar is our family favorite. The others, well someone needs to get out more often.
This list sucks i hate all these places. THESE PLACES SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pier 99 is digusting, go there if you enjoy food poisoning.
I agree with the majority of the list and think it will be useful to others, but am confused with nate dogg's comments. I frequent Aladdin's and love their food. Its a very casual and friendly place where they actually remember you. The food is made too order - so dont expect it to be ready when you walk in the door. My family and I love the culture and the belly dancers. Lets face it, the "dogg" is not used to food thats not from can.
the food at aladdins is as authentic as it is in the arab countries that i have visited.
this is a great list.
But, to say that Aladdin's is a top ten restaurant is far fetched. I could barely swallow my food when i dined there. One more thing, i highly recommend pier 99 to everyone i talk with about corpus christi table fare. This place serves some of the best seafood i have ever tasted.
