Top 10 Restaurants in Hilton Head Island

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina has become a favorite vacation spot to many. Weather you have been there many times for this is your first time here are the top 10 restaurants to check out. These are not in any order so here goes!

First we start with The Sunset Grille, great for lunch and Sunday brunch. For Sunday brunch make sure to make reservations. This restaurant is set in a strange location, over a laundry mat and in a trailer park, but is defiantly worth checking out. The customer service is amazing and this is an extremely casual atmosphere. One of their special is a smoked seafood platter that is enough for 2 people to share. Plus they have a huge wine list. The Sunset Grille is located at 43 JENKINS RD. you can call them at 843-689-6744 to make reservations.

Next we have The Alligator Grille located in the PARK PLAZA OUTSIDE SEA PINES MAIN GATE. This very elegantly decorated restaurant used black and tan as their main colors with hints of red and silver. You can sit at the bar at order sushi and watch it being made right in front of you. Their grilled salmon and Teriyaki glaze is one of their most popular. They have a full bar and a huge wine list. Hinchey's Chicago Bar & Grill is a family owned place and has been in the area for over 12 years. Their reputation is impeccable; the place is very casual and has kind of pub feel. They have excellent BBQ and burgers. They are along the shore and the place is geared toward the masses. They are located at the BEACH MARINA (NEAR COLIGNY CIRCLE, 686-5959.

The Kings Wharf is an amazing restaurant with an oyster bar, and amazing full bar set in a tavern theme. The views overlooking the water here are amazing and breathtaking. The Neptune's Feast is all seafood and more than enough for one person and is under $17! Located at, 40 FOLLY FIELD RD, 686-5464.

The Ocean Grill is an elegant ocean side restaurant. They do ask that you make reservations but it isn't required. This is the finest seafood restaurant on the island. It used to be known as Harbormaster but a few years ago the owners changed the name and the style of the food. When eating here you must try the Tangy Thai Tilapia it's the house special! Located at 1 SHELTER COVE LANE in SHELTER COVE HARBOR, 785-3030.

Yummy House is out next stop. While the name does match the food this is not your typical Chinese Restaurant. They also carry Japanese food and a sushi bar. This is a more upscale then many Chinese place you may know. There is not a huge menu but the food on the menu is amazing! Located at 2 SOUTH WOOD PARK, SUITE A, 681-5888.

Truffles Café has a very extensive menu that covers a variety of dishes. While the name might be misleading this place is not a fancy upscale, suit and tie dinning. While here you must try the New Orleans Pasta and the Chicken Pot Pie. Located at 71 LIGHHOUSE RD. (SEA PINES CENTER) in Sea Pines Plantation, 671-6136.

The Smoke House, Bar & House of BBQ is a great place for, you guessed it, BBQ. As far as BBQ food this is the best restaurant on Hilton Head to find it! I definitely suggest their pulled pork sandwich and don't forget to try their homemade sauces. The prices are very affordable too. Located at 102 POPE AVENUE, 842-4227.

Bistro Mezzaluna doesn't have a huge selection but they have an amazing Philly Cheese steak. They are definitely worth checking out for that reason! They also know how to perfect the plain, grilled chicken too. Located at 55 NEW ORLEANS RD, 842-5011.

Blake's Land, Sea, and Sprits has an amazing atmosphere their décor reminds me if an Italian Bistro. The columns, ferns and stone walls. The chef has created his own recipe of Southern Fried Pork Chops. Plus he has a great selection of wines something to go with every meal. Located at HIGHWAY 278
