Top 10 Road Trip Songs

Kyra Lennon
Spring is here and summer will soon be snapping at its heels! You know what that means? Road trip! No journey is complete without the perfect road trip songs playlist. It's an absolute must to make a long drive more fun. Here are my ultimate road trip songs.

1.How You Remind Me by Nickelback - Not only is this one of my favourite rock songs ever, it is perfect for a road trip. Rocking out to this will make any journey seem less boring as you sing along and headbang to the beat (as long as you're not the one driving!)

2. Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys - Nothing says summer road trip like this song. It's even better if you're heading to the beach for a swim or a surf! It will get you in the mood for the seaside and it absolutely calls for a silly singalong!

3.Girls and Boys by Blur - How about a little 90's Britpop to add to your collection of road trip songs? If you've never heard this song, you're missing out! Everyone will be dancing in their seats to this one.

4.Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen - Road trip songs GOLD. Almost everyone is familiar with the classic scene in Wayne's World where the boys are in the car totally rocking out to this tune. I have never been on a road trip when we haven't recreated that moment!

5. Love Shack by the B52's - Another great one for singing along to. You can even do a girls vs boys sing along! You need to play it loud though, this song wasn't made to be played on low volume. It's a proper party song and will bring excitement to the journey!

6.Drive by The Cars - A slower tempo song for the moment when only the driver is still awake. It's got a great sound to it and is still good enough to keep the designated chauffeur from nodding off at the wheel!

7.Can't Take My Eyes Off You by Andy Williams - I have been on many road trips, and I always include this song because it has got such a great tune and plenty of sing along potential! Old it may be but it still has great appeal to people of all ages, and even if you've never heard it before, it's easy to pick up.

8. Holding Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler - This one is more suitable for a girly road trip, but even if there are guys in the car, they won't mind letting the girls take centre stage for this track!

9. Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana - A classic Nirvana track is always great on a road trip. Even after all these years, the lyrics are still indecipherable but it means you get to have a good laugh as you try to figure out what Kurt Cobain was singing!

10. Greased Lightning from the Grease Soundtrack - Boys may not think it's cool to know the words to this song, but secretly, they do! They all want to be a T-bird and the girls all want to date a T-bird, so this song will always be a hit for a long car journey!

Add all of these tracks to your road trip songs play list and you will find the time just flies by!
