10. "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC
You know you want to scream like Angus Young. The song rocks, and if you sing some of the words wrong, no one will notice. Sure to be a rock and roll karaoke crowd-pleaser.
9. "Mercedes Benz" by Janis Joplin
A classic rock and roll song, and good karaoke for any soulful woman to sing. Can't we all relate? This song has the added benefit of being short: just under two minutes. Of course, there's not a lot of background music to hide behind as you sing, but if you're really feeling it, you won't care.
8. "I Drink Alone" by George Thorogood
If you are singing karaoke, you probably aren't drinking alone, but songs with this many alcohol references are always good to bust out in a bar scene. This song has a catchy rock and roll rhythm and the lyrics are pretty easy to follow.
7. "All Apologies" by Nirvana
Kurt Cobain's vocals aren't especially demanding, so this is can be a good karaoke song. Plus, you get to call all of your friends "gay" and get away with it.
6. "Foxy Lady" by Jimi Hendrix
Once you've had enough shots to make you feel suave, you can dedicate this Hendrix classic to that foxy lady down the bar. Also, this song is a great chance to put on that afro wig if your karaoke bar has costumes.
5. "Fat Bottom Girls" by Queen
A good classic rock and roll song to sing for karaoke. Sure to get a reaction (maybe good, maybe bad...) from your audience.
4. "Only Happy When it Rains" by Garbage
A great rock and roll karaoke song for women. Edgy, rocking. Just pretend you're the vampiric Shirley Manson for a couple of minutes.
3. "Hound Dog" by Elvis Presley
Sometimes you can't beat the truly classic rock and roll songs. Singing this song at karaoke is going to be just as much about showmanship as anything. You know you've been practicing those Elvis hips in front of the bathroom mirror- now's your big chance to show them off.
2. "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey
Because you should never stop believing in the power of your inebriated vocal chords. Rolling Stone magazine once voted this as one of the all-time best karaoke songs.
1. "Old Time Rock and Roll" by Bob Segar
That kind of music just soothes the soul. What better karaoke song for the rock and roll fan to sing? Express your feelings about the junk everyone else is singing through the immortal words of Bob Segar.
