Sentimental Classic Christmas Song #10 - Do They Know It's Christmas - Band Aid
This song, written by Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, became an instant classic on its release back in November 1984. Post a CommentThe article was beautifully written, especially with lyric links. I think I need to burn a CD now.
I can't listen to the 'Little Drummer Boy' without thinking of the scene in the animated Christmas special where the little lamb gets hit by the chariot, and then the boy takes it to the wise men to be healed... by the time he starts playing his little drummer, I'm usually boohoo-ing out loud!
Thanks for the great memories. Great article!
Little Drummer Boy is probably one of my top three. I loved your comments on all of these.
