Dominic Purcell as Drake in the movie Blade Trinity (2004)
I gotta admit - Dominic/Drake is darn sexy and he's not a nice vampire. He's bad. Really, really bad - but it's okay because oh my goodness is he hot!
Alexander Skarsgard as Eric Northman in the HBO series True Blood
Okay, Alexander/Eric is not one that I would normally find appealing as I've always preferred dark-haired men, but the Viking Vampire Eric from True Blood is simply yummy - especially in the second season of the series. In season one Eric sported longer, scraggly locks which I didn't find especially flattering or attractive but when he went for a shorter cut during season two, oh my! He definitely made it onto my list. Sorry Bill fans - I prefer Eric.
Chris Sarandon as vampire Jerry Dandridge in Fright Night (1985)
I first watched Fright Night when I was about 14 years old and thought that Chris Sarandon was unbelievably mysterious and sexy. Now, 20-plus years later I still think the same thing. I actually was bummed when vampire Jerry met his end in this movie.
Alex O'Laughlin as Mick St. John in the short-lived TV series Moonlight
Not much else to be said about Alex/Mick except that he's to die for.
Gary Oldman as Count Dracula in Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
While I have always respected Gary Oldman's work as an actor I never thought he was particularly appealing or sexy. It was while watching 1992's Bram Stoker's Dracula that I found myself thinking "Wow! That's one sexy vampire!"
Gerard Butler as Dracula in Dracula 2000 (2000)
Before he was King Leonides in 300, Gerard Butler was one smokin' vampire in Dracula 2000. While we didn't get to hear much of that sexy Scottish brogue, it didn't matter because this hot vampire didn't need to talk to make women feel funny.
Kiefer Sutherland as David in The Lost Boys (1987)
Kiefer had not yet reached his Jack Bauer-level of hotness yet when The Lost Boys came out, but it didn't matter to me. This is still one of my favorite movies and it made me - as a head-in-the-clouds 15-year-old fall in love with Kiefer. He decorated my high school locker and my dreams for quite some time and I admit, I'm still a Kiefer fan.
George Hamilton as Count Dracula in Love at First Bite (1979)
I first saw this movie when it was aired on television in the early 1980s. I was probably eight years old but I thought Count Dracula was darn cute. He gave my first love - Shaun Cassidy of Hardy Boys fame - a run for his money.
Wesley Snipes as Blade in the Blade movies
Okay, so Blade is technically a vampire hunter but he is a vampire, albeit an unusual one. I can't help it - I like Wesley in pretty much any thing he does but turn him into a vampire and be still my heart before you bleed it dry!
Cam Gigandet as James in Twilight
Bad boy vampire James from the movies Twilight definitely makes my list. While most of the youngsters were swooning over Robert Pattinson (pardon me while I choke), I thought James was bad in all the right ways. He was sexy and just enough of a bad boy to get my attention. Despite the fact that he was a bloodthirsty vampire bent upon killing people - he was pretty hot. If I had been Bella I think I would have ditched sparkly Edward and done some bargaining for my life with James.

Post a CommentMy hands-down favorite is Alex/Mick from Moonlight -- I was sooooo sad they cancelled that show, it was way too soon for it to die.
great choices. Every long haired vamp on Lost Boys especially the one who gets death by stereo are my favorites, and I'm with ya on the Erik thing too, Bill just don't do it for me!
Nice choices here! I remember George Hamilton in "Love at First Bite". I think that, too was my first experience with vampire hotness!
I think that cam james is the sexest man alive. i would marry him.
Fright Night, now THAT was a sexy vamp.
If you hadn't mentioned George Hamilton, I was going to write him in on my comment! He looked terrific in that movie. I agree about Skarsgard...but I like Stepehn Moyer (Bill), too. And Fright Night was a terrific vamp film! Good choices.
Great picks!
You've got three favorites of mine - Gerard, Gary, and Alexander!
I remember liking Lost Boys, although not for the same reasons as you. Great article..
way cool!
