Top 10 Sexy Songs: All Time Sexiest Songs to Set the Mood for Romance!

Top 10 Sexy Songs:

Johnny and June (Heidi Newfield, 2009) This song is sultry heatwave with a love story background. The strong, heartfelt vocals combine with thick Southern-style music to make me get lost in the experience of it all. As if the music weren't sexy enough, the song chronicles the love story of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. "I wanna love like Johnny and June, Rings of Fire burning with you, I wanna walk the line, walk the line, til the end of time."

"Your Body is a Wonderland" (John Mayer, 2002) So we start with a sexy title and add lyrics like "...swim in a deep sea of blankets...Your body is a wonder- I'll use my hands ...crawling towards the pillowcase". It all makes this song off-the-hook sexy! The amazing thing about "Your Body Is a Wonderland" is that John Mayer has such a soft and gentle delivery. It really is a truly wonderful celebration of awe for the human body.

"Crash Into Me" (Dave Matthews Band, 1997) Sexy. In case you don't understand the appeal of Dave Matthews: he has a "come hither" voice and a sort of boy-next-door quality. He's sweet, he's sexy, he's well-mannered, he's a pig. We love Dave Matthews. "Sweet like candy to my soul, sweet you rock, and sweet you roll." (Oh my god, I'm falling for it....) "For you, for me, come crash into me..."

"Come to My Window" (Melissa Etheridge, 1993) The pure emotion of this song makes it one of the all-time sexiest songs ever. Melissa Etheridge has a great voice, and she's just this side of yelling when she declares, "I am forsaking all the rest, just to reach you, just to reach you.... Come to my window. Crawl inside and wait by the light of the moon... I'll be home soon." It's so raw. No one can listen to it and not be stirred.

"Black Velvet" (Alannah Myles, 1989) "Black Velvet" is the definition of sultry. I mean, if you've never been able to put you're finger on sultry, here it is. This song is so smooth, it's liquid. "Mississippi in the middle of a dry spell...The sun is settin' like molasses in the sky...A new religion that'll bring you to your knees. Black velvet, if you please." The words tell a story, but it's the beat that'll move you.

Push It (Salt N Pepa, 1987) Salt N Pepa say, "This dance ain't for everyone, only the sexy people...", but I disagree- I don't think anyone can hear this song and NOT move their hips. "Push It" makes us all sex-y. You don't have to gyrate on the speakers, but you know you want to get that booty movin'! (On the dance floor and elsewhere!) "Coolin' by day and then at night workin' up a sweat. Push it real good."

"Crazy for You" (Madonna, 1985) This slow-dance dance classic has just as much appeal now as when it was released. "I'm crazy for you- touch me once and you know it's true. I never wanted anyone like this..." Sweet and sexy at the same time.

"Time After Time" (Cyndi Lauper, 1984) This slow song has an underlying beat that's best described as driving. "Lying in my bed I hear the clock tick, I think of you. Caught up in circles, confusion is nothing new..." There's something about this slow, quiet song that awakens the sensual side- "time after time".

"I Melt with You" (Modern English, 1983) "I'll stop the world and melt with you." Everyone over 40 danced to this song in a crowed bar in the 80's. This song was hip, hot, and sexy back then, and so were we. (Wink.) Factor in the great memories, the energy and optimism of youth, and that mesmerizing humming, and you've got one sexy song!

"Leather and Lace" (Stevie Nicks with Don Henley, 1981) Stevie Nick just is sexy. I can't explain it, but everyone knows she has an hypnotic allure. "You in the moonlight, with your sleepy eyes, could you ever love a girl like me? - Give to me your leather, take from me my lace." Wow! The balance of masculine and feminine in this song is fantastic. "Leather and Lace" is a timeless sexy love classic.

Ok a couple of them might be on my list like the Black Velvet and Crazy for You. The rest of them don't really switch me on a romantic mode. I now made a list myself and the sexiest ever is "Feelin' Love" by Paula Cole. Oooooh just love the music so sexxyyyyyyy ahhhhh! Takes you both into a state of bliss and ecstacy as you dissolve into the whole.

I think I like 'Black Velvet' the best, but still there's something about the way Stevie Nicks sings that makes me glad I'm a man..Great list.
