Have you ever wondered what the top 10 shark infested beaches in the world are? This could be interesting for many different people. If you love adventure and are a thrill seeker, you could visit one of these top 10 shark infested beaches and go cage diving or boating to see the sharks up close. If you are like me and would not want to go to a beach that is shark infested, it's good to know which beaches you may want to avoid. Though it would be kind of neat to say I've visited the top 10 shark infested beaches, I'd rather keep some distance between me and those sharks!

It should be noted that shark attacks on humans are relatively rare and uncommon. While movies like JAWS quickly come to mind when thinking about shark infested beaches, it is unlikely you would ever find yourself coming face to face with a shark while swimming in the ocean, especially if you stay close to the shore in shallow water. The reason many of these top 10 shark infested beaches are so popular amongst sharks is because they are also popular among smaller fish - making them a great place for sharks to live since the supply of food is excellent.

    New Smyrna Beach is a city in Volusia County, Florida, United States. The population was 20,048 according to the 2000 census. As of 2007, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 23,161.
    Florida An amateur photographer captured by chance an image of a 6ft blacktip "spinner" shark leaping from the waves as he took pictures of fellow surfers.
    Kem McNair, who had finished surfing at New Smyrna Beach, Florida, before taking three images of the shark, shot in under a second, said: "I saw something in the background and I thought, 'What was that?'. I looked back at the display on my camera and there it was - a spinner shark."

    This is interesting info. I would like to see a report of the beaches with the most shark attacks and see if that matches this list.

    You're missing one. Last time I went to Myrtle Beach, there were plenty of Land Sharks. Looked like an SNL convention, only less funny and more more terrorizing. I may or may not have been sober at the time. But I know what I saw.

    Sharks in South Africa, namely Gansbaai and Kosi Baai are the biggest draw to the area. This is where your can put your mental brawn to the test by going inside the cage into shark-infested waters. That's on the agenda on our next visit to S.A.! Thanks for sharing your list!
