Top 10 Signs That You Are a World Wide Web Junkie
10. You spend over 2 hours chatting.
Online chatting used to be a widely popular online activity. In fact, before online dating became famous that's how online folks used to meet other people. But with the ubiquity of social networking/micro-blogging sites, chatting has lost some ground. Is anyone still a heavy user of online chatting?
9. You spend over 2 hours on forum sites.
Why would spend over 2 hours on a forum? Oh, I know; you get excited about creating threads, replying to posts and ... well, forum'ing.
8. You check your email more than 3 times a day.
Make no mistake, email is a great communication tool. But if your work/business is not heavily dependent upon email, then you have no business in checking your email more than 3 times per day :(
7. You have accounts with major social networking sites, log in more than twice a day and spend over 2 hours per session.
Yes, social networking sites can be great. They allow you to connect with old friends, share a lot of stuff, etc. But seriously, why are you spending all this time on them? Worse yet, you have so many different accounts!
6. You update your status at least 3 times per week on social networking sites.
Wait, how often does your mood change?!
5. You upload media (video, photo, music) daily to the web.
You actually find material to upload to youtube, flickr, ... on a daily basis??!!
4. You spend over 2 hours watching videos on sites such as youtube, metacafe, etc.
Boy does time fly fast when you are watching those funny, crazy videos ... and the other types of videos, too?
3. You spend over 4 hours online per day for non-work related activities.
I get it. You have so many sites to log in to, so many media to upload to the web, so many people to catch up with, so many posts to reply to, so many emails to read, ...
2. Your PC, along with its broadband connection, is on 24/7.
Would you please turn off the computer, maybe for a day? Yeah, forget about the Internet for a few hours; it'll still be around when you get back on.
1. When people ask for your number, you give them you Skype ID.
If you make a living doing business online, then I can understand you need to spend time online.

Post a CommentI guess im a big internet junkie
While I'm not an 'Internet junkie' based on the listed criteria, I'm beginning to suspect I have other issues that the Internet brings out in me. I get pissed when I read articles and there are blatant grammatical errors. I understand when a comment by myself or others has errors. We are not paid to write, nor do we have editors. On a positive note, I found that I enjoy adding my comment on daily news events and in response to others opinions (I believe my comment here follow my pattern).
I guess I am am an internet junkie...lol! Thanks for sharing.
Ha, ha. I already know I am an Internet junkie, although I spend zero time on chat and no longer visit forums where I used to spend a lot of time. Did you say update status 3 times a week? I think it was a typo and you meant "a day" judging from status updates I see on Facebook which is where I currently spend most of my day. The reason being Facebook games...
