No. 10 - Rococo
"...They build it up just to burn it back down... the wind is blowing all the ashes around... oh my dear God, what is that horrible sound... rococo, rococo, rococo, rococo..." The track makes me want to name my first born Rococo and have no idea why.
No. 9 - Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)
I'm not much of fan of the lyrics for Sprawl II, but it has a cool subtle dance vibe that differs from some of the other stuff.
No. 8 - Neighborhood #2 (Laika)
I love the grinding sound of Laika. Although, what makes this Arcade Fire song great, also could just as easily be what makes it not so great.
No. 7 - Haiti
Haiti took me awhile to warm up to, but it has become one of my favorite Arcade Fire songs. It sounds like something you'd listen to on some tropical faraway beach back in the 1940s. If tunes can be called cute, Haiti is cute.
No. 6 - Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)
There is nothing to not like about this Arcade Fire song.
No. 5 - Rebellion (Lies)
Rebellion (Lies) is one of the Arcade Fire songs that is the best to sing along to.
No 4. - Wake Up
I love how the band just takes their time with Wake Up.
No. 3 - Black Wave / Bad Vibrations
Black Wave / Bad Vibrations is the best for those days you're feeling a little depressed and want to wallow in a sea of self-pity. It just envelops you, and it feels rather cozy that way.
No. 2 - Ready to Start
Ready to Start is the only song off the band's newest album, The Suburbs, that I truly love.
No. 1 - Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
I hate the video for Neighborhood #3 (Power Out). The video never lived up to the intensity of the music. In fact, I think it actually takes away from it. It's sort of like when I found out Aaliyah's diddy about trying again was just about a guy asking her out. It was disappointing. But anyways, Neighbor #3 (Power Out) is the coolest Arcade Fire track to listen to while driving, and generally that's when I listen to my music, thus Power Out is my pick for the number one top Arcade Fire song of all time.
