Top 10 Songs by the Black Eyed Peas

Larry Gonzalez
The Black Eyed Peas arrived onto the music world in 1995. I didn't find out about them until 2008. Providing excellent dance hip hop beats B.E.P.'s have become a top money making machine. Group member front man Will.I.Am is accompanied by Fergie, Taboo and Apl.De.Ap who have sold over 30 million albums along with over 40 million singles. With crisp and clear vocals, outstanding videos and off-the-hook dance beats this group can only be stopped by a yearning for solo careers. Selecting a top 10 list was difficult so I had to revert to the bucket o' knowledge where I put my favorite songs into a bucket and draw out 10 titles. It's very scientific and the results are flawless.

10. Where Is The Love was released in 2003 off the titled album Elephunk. This song is more of a political statement type of song. It refers to terroristic beliefs abroad as well as those from within the U.S. It has a good beat but if you're just in the mood for fun music this won't be for you.

9. Shut up was also released in 2003 off the titled album Elephunk. This song is very funny and hits close to home when it comes to troubled relationships. Will.I.Am sings, "...why don't you believe my lies?" and Fergie can only reply, "Shut up, just shut up."

8. Boom Boom Pow was released in 2009 off the titled album The E.N.D. This song has a great upbeat tempo that'll get your toes-a-tapping.

7. My Humps was released in 2005 off the titled album Monkey Business. This song refers to the girl's curves and how she has used and will use them to get what she wants. The male part in this song can't help himself when she's around. How true!

6. Rock That Body was released in 2009 off the titled album The E.N.D. This song has a great drum dance beat and synthesizer work. With sexual undertones in the lyrics this song professes a love of all women regardless of looks.

5. Pump It was released in 2005 off the titled album Monkey Business. This song samples the "Misirlou" song by Dick Dale. The songs monster beat and titled lyric "Pump It" refers to raising the volume on the music and having fun.

4. Don't Phunk With My Heart was released in 2005 off the titled album Monkey Business. This songs refers again to relationships and how one person wants more but the other has been "burned" to many times and doesn't want to commit. This song samples lyrics from the 1985 hit by Lisa Lisa & the Cult Jam, I Wonder If I Take You Home.

3. Hey Mama was released in the 2003 album titled Elephunk. "Dis da beat that make you grove on the floor" and it sure does. Nice energetic beat with a dash of reggae.

2. I Gotta Feeling was released in 2009 on the titled album The E.N.D. This song is an anthem for having a good time and dancing the night away. I've got a feeling this song feels real good.

1. Meet Me Halfway was also released on the titled album The E.N.D. This songs speaks of obsessive love and the need to do everything to be with your soul mate. Nice love song.
