I am very much a music lover, and the more I think about it, music has a more higher power than any other art. Music is everywhere. Music can get a person into a better mood, it can change expressions, and it can also speak for someone so they don't have to say anything. Because I am such a romantic, I find that Boys II Men are my favorite musical group. I enjoy everything they sing - words and sounds.
So to list my ten favorites is what I plan to do:
1) End of the Road - not only is this song one of my favorites because it such versatile meaning for me, but because it reminds me of what I have been through in my past and it's easy to relate to.
2) I'll Make Love to You - OK, now the words say it all. Don't you love a song that starts out that way? Adult action that is put in such a classic and romantic way that makes you feel all warm inside. Speechless.
3) On Bended Knee - I can't say enough of how romantic these men are. The words and sound of this song makes me forgive all the pasts. It shows that there are heartfelt and remorseful people out there and because they don't say doesn't mean they don't mean it.
4) Water Runs Dry - This song is a favorite of mine because it has a wonderful story in it and if you have seen the video - the location was so beautiful and full of imagination.
5) It's So Hard To Say Goodbye to Yesterday - This is an all time favorite of everyone I know. When you hear the song it makes you reminisce on all of your good and bad memories. It reminds you of all the people you loved and lost. It just brings a sense of sadness but at the same time it reminds you that life is precious and you must carry on.
6) One Sweet Day - This song was shared with Mariah Carey, Another great artist vocally, and it also reminds you of that loved one you lost. Death is not a pretty picture but it helps to revive your soul when you hear such beautiful voice singing to you that life will be ok, your loved one is ok and that one sweet day you will rejoice together.
7) Please Don't Go - This one is an all time favorite as well because of the moment I was in when I first heard it and played it over and over again. This song has such great lyrics. It keeps me thinking of my special someone singing it to me if we were to ever part. It's a loving and heart warming song that touches the soft spot.
8) Seasons of Loneliness - This is one of there latest songs that I really enjoy listening to because after all the years of singing, the songs were still so deep and meaningful. It was like hearing a choir for the first time - so magical.
9) You're Not Alone - I can't forget about their Christmas album which I love so much because - well - I love Boys II Men. They sang this in such great harmony and it goes well with the seasons. During the holidays there is always a feeling that people can not explain but you feel "it". This song touches that "feeling" and puts a smile on your face.
10) Yesterday - Last but not Least is "Yesterday", a remake of John Lennon and Paul McCartney's that is a beautiful ballot. I love the harmony in this song and, of course, the lyrics are very memorable.
So like I have began saying, loving all of one bands work is almost ridiculous unless they are they great at touching your heart with the words and music like Boys II Men have done to me.
