Top 10 Songs by Hannah Montana

Miley Cyrus' alter ego, Hannah Montana, has taken the world by storm, as has she. If you have or know a child under the age of 15, you are aware of the phenomenon that is Hannah Montana. Hannah started as a sitcom on the Disney Channel, in which a 14-year-old girl lives a double life. By day she is your average teen trying to balance school and friends but by night she is a rock star known by people all over the world. She has debuted many songs on the sitcom; here is a list of the 10 best as judged by this author.

1. "One in A Million" is my favorite Hannah Montana song. It can mean something different to every listener. To me it means finding that one special someone that is meant for you. I consider my hubby to be my one in a million without him life is meaningless and so this ballad means a lot to mean. To other people they might mean being themselves. Love this song!

2. "If We Were A Movie" is another fun ballad that reminds us that true love can come from anywhere. I love the fact that this song talks about the characters in a movie and says where they would be if they were real life people. Hannah usually does fun fast songs, but this is a fun medium paced song that has a great tune and is easy to sing along with.

3. "We Got The Party" with the Jonas Brothers has quickly become one of my favorite Hannah songs. I fell in love with it when I heard it on the sitcom. Partially, because it has the spectacular Jonas Brothers singing along with Hannah. There voices meld together very well and it is an easy going, fun, catchy tune.

4. "Rock Star" is a great fun loud song that is easy to sing with. I took my 5 year old niece to see the rock concert as a movie and loved watching the energy that comes with Hannah singing this song. My niece and I enjoyed dancing and singing with Hannah in the theater while my husband looked on and laughed at us. Hannah is a bundle of energy and this song shows that off very well!!

5. "This Is the Life" is another example of Hannah sharing her life as an example for others to follow. She talks about living her dream and I think that the real significance behind this song is that she wants others to follow her example. Another song that is easy to learn and fun to dance to.

6. "Nobody's Perfect" is a significant song because it reminds us that we all make mistakes but that we need to often pull ourselves up off the ground and keep going. I love this fact. The song has a great beat to it and is easy to sing and dance along to.

7. "True Friend" is a great song because it reminds us that true friends stick by each other no matter what. This is significant in particular for the audience the Hannah appeals to because girls often are mean to each including their friends. Hannah uses this song to teach them to stay true to a true friend no matter what. This would be considered a power ballad. Again has a catchy tune with a great message.

8. "I Got Nerve" asks you to consider how you want to live your life. Live it boldly and without apologizing. No where you stand as you and what you believe in. As with a lot of Hannah's songs, it is empowering to young women who make up most of Hannah's audience. It has a great tune and is fun to sing and dance along with.

9. "Who Said" has a great message to all it's listeners. It reminds us that we can set our minds to do anything we want to do. It empowers young women, I believe in particular, to dream big and live life to its fullest no matter who they are.

10. "Just Like You" talks about Hannah's duel life. It reminds the audience that they only see half of her, the half that is Hannah. I think it is significant to listeners because we all have parts of our lives that are private to some eyes. She talks about living her dream and I think that is significant for of her listeners to remember that they should and can live their dreams no matter who they are.

Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus are great role models for girls of all ages. Their music is exceptional and fun to listen to. If you haven't had a minute to listen to it, take a minute and take a listen. I think you will like what you hear.
