1. Se La Vi
This is a favorite song of mine because I can relate to what she is saying. Come to think of it, on the weekends all of us are free to do what we want and come Monday we have to be responsible adults for another week.
2. From This Moment On
duet with Bryan White
This soulful song, is filled with a commitment of life with the person that you love. Not only is this melodic and moving music, but it has great lyrics as well.
3. Man! I Feel Like A Woman!
This energetic song fills me with confidence and freedom of expression.
4. Forever And For Always
This song is a favorite of mine because it gives me the "warm fuzzies".
5. No Particular Way
There are too many times when I think that I haven't learned "how to" find love. Then I listen to this song. It points out that there isn't a particular formula, theory, way, rule, etc. that is to be followed in order to find love. We are all going to find love in different ways. I find this to be a comfort.
6. It Only Hurts
Everyone goes through heartache at one point in their lives. This is a favorite of mine because it lets me know that I will make it through that difficult time and go on to love again. It reminds me to keep on struggling through the pain - eventually things will be better.
7. Would I Do It All Again?
When it comes to love, my head doesn't always make decisions - my heart does. This song gives me permission to make mistakes in relationships. I chalk it up those mistakes as an experience that is in my "hard knocks" education.
8. I'm Gonna Getcha Good!
The driving beat keeps the song moving along, just like we need to keep moving along in our personal lives. This song seems to be about that time in your life when you no longer want the "casual" relationships, but instead are looking to settle down. Both the beat and the lyrics make this a favorite of mine.
9. Up!
An upbeat song relating the ups and downs of life.
10. She
This song is literally about the role(s) women take in today's society. In the past, there were very few opportunities for women to work outside of the home. Now those opportunities are endless. It doesn't matter if the job is a financial success one or whether the job is a personally fulfilling success; the opportunities are there. This song is one of my favorites due to the encouragement to pursue what makes you happy.

Post a CommentI like most of those myself. She hasn't came out with anything recently. I heard she's getting a divorce so that's probably why. She has more important things to worry about right now than writing songs.
Okay.. not up on the country songs but recognized a couple!!!
I agree that this is a great list, Sophie. Shania Twain is a great singer.
