10. Rihanna, singer. I'm making Rihanna an honorary teenager for the purposes of this list. Through all of my searching, I couldn't find any other young, popular celebrity whose head held this much style. She went from long hair, to a bob, and finally to her current funky haircut. It's asymmetrical and jagged, with choppy long layers on top and shorter, clean layers in back.

9. Dakota Fanning in "Push", actress. While in everyday life, Dakota's hair is sleek and stick-straight, she rocks a disheveled look in this movie. Her long hair is wavy, nearly unkempt, with flashes of color here and there. For teenagers who don't like the tame look of most starlets, this is a good, raucous hairdo.

8. Cole Sprouse, actor. Cole has picked up where Zac Efron left off: one perfectly misplaced hair at a time. Like his predecessor, Cole keeps his hair shaggy but sleek, as if it were being blown by the wind at any given time. The bangs are kept long, at the eyebrow level, and angled toward one side.

7. Kristen Stewart, actress. I thought long and hard before including Kristen on this list. I am not a fan of her usual, uninspiring "I just woke up" look. However, she recently chopped off her hair for the role of Joan Jett in an upcoming movie. The new look is a dyed-black, updated mullet: shaggy bangs, choppy, with long layers on both the sides and back. While I can't condone a mullet of any sorts-no matter how trendy it may be-her updo for the Teen Choice Awards was fantastic. Keeping the sides down, while pinning the rest of her hair up, she looked modern and funky.

6. Keke Palmer, singer. Usually forgoing the popular waves of the moment, Keke keeps her long hair very straight. Her hair is parted down the middle with no bangs, reminiscent of hippie hairstyles. This gives her a sleek, yet approachable edge.

5. Selena Gomez, actress. The main thing I like about Selena's hair is her ever-present bouffant. You would think she had a big bump on the back of her head, by the way her hair seems to poof up, making a simple long-hair-side-part seem more glamorous.

A recent cut that caught my eye seems to be an updated "Rachel" cut: layers framing the face, but with lots of shaggy bangs and jagged edges.

Following on the tail of the wild, short cuts of last year, long is definitely leading the celebrity pack.
