Top 10 Trucks of The Decade - Making Good Trucks Even Better

The big truck manufacturers, Ford, Chevy, GMC and Dodge just keep making their most popular model trucks more powerful, safer and comfortable every year. During the past decade, Honda with its Ridgeline introduced in 2005 is the one new entry into this highly competitive field. Here are the top 10 trucks of the past decade:

Ford F250 - The Ford F250 is the ideal all around truck. Although it's been around for a number of years, it is still the best all-around, full-sized truck on the market. Ford just keeps improving it each year to make a good truck even better.

Ford F 150 - The Ford F150 is a tough truck available wity engine options ranging from a 3.7L V6 to a 6.2L V8. It's a compactly designed and consistently rated best in its cass for towing and payload. Once again Ford just keeps making this truck even better with every model year.

Dodge RAM 3500 - This heavy duty truck with a 5.7L HEMI engine is one of the toughest trucks I've ever driven and is great for fishing and hunting those "out of the way" places. It's got a 12,000 pound capacity winch that makes removing stubron tree stumps a snap. The Ram 3500 is a pretty good looking truck too with plenty of inside room as a bonus.

Honda Ridgline - The Honda Ridgeline revolutionized truck designed by creating a hard working pick up truck that has plenty of family room inside and all the features and creature-comforts you find in luxury cars.

Chevy Silverado 2500 HD - This is one tough work horse of a truck with a 6 speed Allison transmission and either a 6.0L V* gasoline engine or a 6.6L Turbo-Diesel. Amazingly, it's pretty comfortable on the inside too.

Dodge Dakota - It's probably the best mid-sized truck on the road with a 4.7 L V-engine with a towing capacity of about 7200 pounds. It's fairly spacious on the interior too and is really a good overall value for someone who wants just a good pickup truck.

GMC Sierra 3500 Denali HD - The GMC Sierra is a big, luxurious good looking hard working pick up truck for the driver who wants everything ... power, performance, cool features, luxury, visual appeal, utility and durability. With a 6635 pound payload and tow capacity of 17,000, this truck can get the job done. It may be more expensive than most trucks, but it's worth every penny.

Chevy Avalanche - Like the Honda Ridgeline, the Chevy Avalanche is a solid truck for people who want a pick up truck that's comfortable enough to transport families and tough enough to get the job done. The Avalanche does both admirably,

Dodge RAM 1500 -This is one tough little truck with a comfortable interior and lots of great safety features like Trailer Sway Control, Electronic Stabiity Program and Elecronic Range Select And Hill Start Assist and the 4 way trailer hitch and wiring harness built into the rear bumper.

Ford F450 - It's just as tough as the workhorse Ford F250 but it's built with comfort and convenience as well as performance in mind. With it's 6.7L V8 engine and TorqShift 6 speed automatic transmission, and loads of creature comforts inside, it's a great truck for the Ford truck fan who wants a little more on the inside too.
