1. Parking My Car
I vow to try my hardest to park my car in a parking spot further from the door rather than driving around the extra ten minutes waiting on a front row spot. By doing this I will be allowing myself to save gas and get a little excercise.
2. Family Night
Try to set aside one night a week and devote it to family time. Whether that is watching a movie, going bowling or just even having a nice dinner at home together!
3. Church
Get into a church. Try to look for a church that makes you feel welcome and you can feel God there!
4. Bad habits
Ugh! We all have bad habits whether it is big ones like smoking or drinking or as little as biting your fingernails. Lets try to kick these bad habits to curb for good!
5. Communication
Everyone I know, men and women, lack something in the relms of communication, especially with each other! So try to learn a better way to get your point across or an easy way to explain something to someone, with out losing your temper or making them feel inadequate.
6. Eating at home
Well we all know it is just easier to stop and grab something to eat on the way home from work or school. But eating out all the time can be costly and less healthy. So try to eat at home with your family together more often.
7. Explore your artistic sides
Get a camera or some paints and canvas and just go outside more often and take some pictures or just paint! Even if your painting looks like a 3 yr old did it, who cares! It is relaxing and will allow you to see things a little right brained sometimes!
8. Clean those closets out!
Ok I know that I have a box of skinny clothes and a box of fat clothes and then all my in between clothes in my closet. GET RID OF THEM!! haha You only need the clothes that you can wear right now! If they are to big why in the world would you want to get back into them, throw them out! You can allow yourseld to keep 4 or 5 skinny outfits but only if you know you are going to be getting back into them within the next three months, if not throw them out too!
9. Learn new words
Expanding your vocabulary isnt as easy as an adult as it is when you are a child. So atleast try one word a week. It wont hurt you to learn something new every once in a while!
10. Ahhh number 10, well of course you know I saved the best for last. Right? But only because it is by far the hardest one, haha. SLOW DOWN! Life is to short to be doing everything so fast. We are a microwave society and we tend to want everything right now! But in reality we are missing the whole point. Life is flying by us as we are selves fly by it in a whirlwind on a winding road to stressville. So slow down and literally take them time to stop and smell the roses!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
