If none of those romantic gifts help you get your Valentine back, here are some heartache songs to help you get through the break up. I have listened to all these songs at some point in my life, especially when going through a divorce in the 1970's. Then there were hearbreak songs that got me through being a single parent when no other twenty-something wanted to date a Mom. I hope these heartbreak songs help you as much as they did me. As life goes, soon you can move on to the best love songs and live happily ever after.

Rascal Flatts has really sad songs. for example 'Why'.
impossible - shontelle ! try sleepinq with a broken heart - alicia keys !
you forgot any song by the cure, HIM's cover of don't fear the reaper, Halleluijah by Leonard Cohen, Never Wanted to Dance by Mindless Self Indulgence, Always Crashing in the same car by David Bowie, Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana, Gary Jules' cover of Mad World, get it faster jimmy eat world, Lounge act by Nirvana, Anyeurism by Nirvana, and for some reason Chop Suey by System of a Down is good for heartbreak. I think the aggressive tone to any of the band's songs is perfect for a heartbreak song. Same with Atreyu's cover of You Give Love a Bad Name. Sober by Tool is a pretty good heartbreak song for some reason too.
