Top 15 WWE Superstars to Follow on Twitter

Wrestling Fanatic
With the help of today's technology, us wrestling fans are able to follow and interact with our favorite wrestlers that we watch on television every week, via Twitter. All these wrestler's Twitter accounts on the list are verified, so it is the real deal, and not someone pretending to be them. All the wrestlers on this list update their Twitter accounts regularly and are very active, interacting with their fans, and posting updates on what they are currently up to. Most of the wrestlers on this list stay in character, but there are those who don't and you can see a close up of how they are away from the wrestling ring.

Here are the top 15 WWE Superstars to follow on Twitter:

#15: Chavo Guerrero: Guerrero might be one of the most underrated and underused wrestlers in the WWE right now, and his twitter might be as well. Although, Guerrero's twitter might not be as known as some of the more popular wrestlers, he still has a loyal fanbase, which accounts for over 40,000 followers, and he was one of the first wrestlers to start using Twitter. Guerrero updates his twitter page continuously, usually telling his fans which city he is currently wrestling in, or answering a fan's question. #14: William Regal: Regal is another one of the wrestlers who is not being used correctly in the WWE and is one of the most seasoned veterans in the company. Regal is a former King of the Ring winner, and is usually intellectual and funny in his tweets. Regal's twitter account is only a few months old, but he already has amassed more than 15,000 followers and that number will grow for sure in the future. If you are looking for a wrestler who will reply or answer a question you have, then Regal is the person for you. Go to this link for Regal's twitter: http://twitter.com/RealKingRegal

#13: Jack Swagger: The two-time All American American is next on our list. The former World Heavyweight Champion is an off-and-on tweeter, but is currently active again. In his twitter account, Swagger shows an interesting sense of humor, and looks like he either stays in character or that's how he really acts in real life. Swagger currently has over 32,000 followers, most of which are from his fans. Go to this link for Swagger's twitter: http://twitter.com/RealJackSwagger

#12: John Morrison: The Shaman of Sexy, John Morrison is next to grace us with his presence. Morrison is one of the most popular wrestlers who have twitter, collecting over 72,000 followers, but is not as active as some would like. The reason why Morrison is not higher on the list, is because he doesn't update his account as actively as some of the others on this list. But his tweets are very interesting, and that is reason enough to follow him. Go to this link for Morrison's twitter: http://twitter.com/TheRealMorrison

#11: Evan Bourne: While Bourne might not be one of the biggest guys on the roster, he is definitely one of the biggest fan favorites. If you are one of Bourne's fans, you should definitely follow him on Twitter, and add to his 59,000 current followers. He acts the same in the ring, as he is out of the ring, and seems like a genuine nice guy. Evan might not update his page as much as some of the other stars, but when he updates it, it is usually to tell his fans where he is currently at, or replying to one of his fans. #10: MVP: The Straight Up Ballin' WWE SmackDown Superstar MVP ranks number ten on our list. Something that makes MVP unique is that he calls his twitter followers, VIP's and his page is the VIP lounge. MVP is very friendly and because of this, he has over 28,000 followers. If you are a fan of Montel Vontavious Porter, you should definitely join him on Twitter. Go to this link for MVP's twitter: http://twitter.com/the305MVP

#9: Christian: The newest wrestler to have joined Twitter recently is "Captain Charisma" Christian. Christian just joined Twitter two days ago and because of his enormous popularity, he has already over 20,000 followers. Other wrestlers have confirmed that Christian has indeed joined Twitter, and it is not some imposter. Christian recently wrote on Twitter that he is officially addicted, so you can expect many more tweets from Captain Charisma. Christian's tweets have seen him talk to his many peeps (thanking them for following), talk to his current wrestling friends, and update his followers with his current activities, with his funny sense of humor. #8: Daniel Bryan: "The American Dragon" Daniel Bryan ranks eighth on our list. Bryan might not be one of the funniest guys out there, but he does have a surprisingly funny sense of humor that he sometimes shows on his Twitter account, something that he is not able to show in the wrestling ring. Bryan usually tweets about his current travel plans. Because of his new popularity with his return to WWE, Bryan currently has over 44,000 followers. #7: Dolph Ziggler: Dolph Ziggler has one of the best and perhaps underrated Twitter accounts in the WWE. If you are a fan of Ziggler's current gimmick, you will also be a fan of his twitter account. Nothing is out of bounds for Ziggler on his Twitter, as he talks about everything. Ziggler is also another superstar who is very funny, and is nearly identical to his current gimmick. Ziggler currently has over 34,000 followers but might have the best twitter account that no one knows about. Go to this link for Ziggler's twitter: http://twitter.com/RealZiggler

#6: Matt Hardy: One of the first pioneers of wrestlers who joined Twitter is Matt Hardy. You can call Hardy a Twitter Addict, constantly updating his account with new tweets, and talking to his fans. Hardy has posted over 5,300 tweets, and because of his popularity, has over 129,000 followers. Hardy has a funny sense of humor and it shows in his tweets. One of the downsides of having so many twitter followers is not having time to answer all your fans' questions. Go to this link for Hardy's twitter: http://twitter.com/MATTHARDYBRAND

#5: Zack Ryder: One of the more entertaining wrestling twitter accounts belongs to that of Zack Ryder. While The Long Island Iced Z might not be a huge superstar yet in the WWE, he has one of the best twitter accounts. Ryder stays in character his whole time on Twitter, even posting pictures of what he did the previous day. Ryder has his own fan club named the "Zack Pack" and has over 38,000 followers. Ryder has over 1,000 tweets of his own, and on occasion, answers five random questions, asked by his Zack Pack. Go to this link for Ryder's twitter: http://twitter.com/ZackRyder

#4: John Cena: While John Cena may have the most twitter followers for any wrestler, he only ranks fourth on our list. Which should be no surprise to anyone, Cena is one of the most popular wrestlers today and has over 141,000 followers. One of the reasons he is not ranked higher on this list is because most of his tweets are too generic, and he pretty much says the same thing in all his tweets. The key message in his tweets is to try your best and to never give up. Cena is also not as interractive with his fans as he used to be. But if you are a Cena fan, you should follow his twitter account to see what he is currently up to. Go to this link for Cena's twitter: http://twitter.com/JohnCena

#3: Randy Orton: As we enter the home stretch of our list, the Viper Randy Orton is next. Orton only joined Twitter recently, about a month ago but quickly got the hang of things, and now has over 450 tweets in that short amount of time. Orton is one of the few wrestlers who are on Twitter almost every day, and he answers almost every question that his fans have. That is pretty amazing because you can imagine how many fans ask him questions. Orton has attained over 76,000 followers and that number is counting. Go to this link for Orton's twitter: http://twitter.com/RandyOrton

#2: The Miz: "The Awesome One" The Miz ranks second on this list. The Miz is currently one of the best superstars in the WWE and that translates to the Twitter world. He is arguably the number one reason to watch Monday Night Raw, as he says, and if you are looking to follow a wrestler on Twitter, he is the one to follow. If you are a fan of The Miz, you will not be disappointed by his twitter. The Miz is much like his character on Twitter, including his arrogant attitude, but that's one of the things that make him great. Miz currently has over 86,000 followers. Go to this link for Miz's twitter: http://twitter.com/mikethemiz

#1: Chris Jericho: And the number one wrestler to follow on Twitter is ... Chris Jericho! Jericho might be the best in the world at what he does, but he is more than just a wrestler. Jericho is multi-talented, as he is also a musician, actor, television host, radio host, and an author. Jericho was one of the first wrestlers to get into Twitter, before anyone else, and still tweets to this day. Jericho has labeled himself a Twitterholic, and this can be seen by his over 3,000 tweets. Jericho is also the most popular wrestler currently in Twitter with over 145,000 followers.
