Renaissance Place
The Renaissance Place is the most elegant wedding venue in Milwaukee. This renovated church has been transformed into an ornate and luxurious non-denominational facility. Wedding ceremonies can be held in one of two gorgeous settings; The marble steps or the renovated sanctuary.
From dressing to reception the Renaissance Place has your wedding day covered. There are private dressing rooms for the men and women making preparation for your wedding ceremony easier and less stressful. The intimate foyer with its unique sloping ceiling or the cathedral style ballroom make the perfect setting for receptions or ceremonies of up to six hundred people.
The Renaissance Place has a full service staff to help you feel like a queen on your wedding day. Their site also features free on-site parking for all your guests and each event has exclusive use of the Renaissance Place facility. The Eisner American Museum of Advertising and Design
If your style is more sleek and modern then your Milwaukee wedding venue is the Eisner Museum. You and your guests will be surrounded by modern art displays in a truly unique setting. From industrial looking ceilings, to exposed wood, and numerous staircases you are sure to have your guests reminiscing for years.
While the Eisner museum is not designed for hosting weddings they will go out of their way to make your special day perfect. Your wedding ceremony can be held in their main gallery which will seat up to six hundred and fifty guests. A smaller more intimate ceremony or reception can be held in the Eisner Museums auditorium for up to two hundred guests.
The Eisner Museum is downtown so parking is limited to the streets and close by parking structures. Even with the parking situation the Eisner Museum is still a top wedding venue for Milwaukee due to many unique photo opportunities within the museum for you and your wedding party. The Eisner Museum and the Renaissance Place are both smoke free facilities with wheelchair access. One thing I do not care for at both of these Milwaukee wedding venues are the chairs. Both facilities use padded stacking chairs that will need dressing up for most formal weddings for them to not look like you are attending a college lecture.
Before choosing any venue you and your groom should do a walk through of the facility to be sure the venue will indeed fit your needs. During the walk through you will want to view the dressing areas, where the ceremony will be held, the reception hall, and the bathrooms. You will also need to discuss catering options, cake options, and bar options. Each of these can make or break a budget and should be well thought out and planned.
