#20. The Fan
Original yet odd movie where De Niro plays an obsessed fan who will do anything for his beloved favorite player (Wesley Snipes). I'd rather have Rookie of the Year in this spot, but Gary Busey as a pitcher? And he was 49 at the time.

#19. Hardball
Decent baseball movie, which says a lot since Keanu Reeves stars in the film.

#18. The Rookie
Dennis Quaid is a highly underrated actor, and gives a great performance on this movie based off of a true story (Jim Morris).

#17. A League of Their Own
Tom Hanks keeps this movie together, but Madonna and Geena Davis give good performances as well.

#16. The Bad News Bears (1976)
Can't beat the original with Walter Matthau.

#15. The Sandlot
A classic baseball movie based around kids, but enjoyable for everyone. I could never get sick of watching The Sandlot.

#14. The Babe
This was my hardest pick on the list due to my belief that movies should be shaped around facts when depicting a sports hero. History was tampered with a little too much in the making of this film, but it has great entertainment value and still can give someone a perspective on Ruth's life.

#13. Damn Yankees (1958)
Great musical and movie, baseball does have a place on Broadway.

#12. For the Love of the Game
Where would Kevin Costner be if it wasn't for baseball movies? More from Costner later, but For the Love of the Game should not be discarded, it's a great movie.

#11. The Pride of the Yankees

#10. Angels in the Outfield (1951, No Danny Glover in this One)
The original was much better than the remake. The Pirates were the team of choice, which today makes more sense considering the Angels are a good team and the Pirates are, well the Pirates.

#9. Bingo Long and the Traveling All-Stars and Motor Kings
I may have this one ranked a little high, but James Earl Jones and Richard Pryor make a baseball movie hard to miss. Maybe with a better title this movie would have had more staying power. Check it out, definitely worth a watch.

The greatest part of this movie is that Jackie Robinson is played by Jackie Robinson. Check out the movie on Netflix online.

#7. Bang the Drum Slowly
An early De Niro picture with a lot of heart.

The best baseball comedy ever made, timeless classic.

A made for TV movie that was 100 times better than I had expected. Roger Maris never got the credit he deserved, this is a great tribute to an often overlooked superstar.

#4. Eight Men Out
The "Black Sox" scandal is a great baseball story, and made for a great baseball movie.

#3. The Natural
My personal favorite, Robert Redford plays #9 Roy Hobbs who becomes a star decades after being a highly touted prospect.

#2. Bull Durham
Kevin Costner at his second best. A great cast makes this movie better than it should be.

#1. Field of Dreams
Baseball memories and dreams at it's best. After watching this movie (and The Natural) you will feel a strong urge to go outside and play catch. Costner and Earl Jones bond together to make the ultimate baseball picture.
