Top 20 Rock Guitar Songs

Pharmhog
Redirecting from film to music and in no particular order are my favorite rock guitar songs ever. As with most top whatever lists, there will always be a debate. Since this is my list, I do not care what other people think. Some tunes have appeared on multiple albums. The album listed is the preferred version of the song since there are live and studio cuts available. Looking at my list, you may notice it is dominated by the 1970s and 80s. Oh well, that's when I grew up and my tastes for music have not evolved since that time.

Born circa 1967 in South Florida when going to the movies as a family was a luxury, my earliest memory of seeing a film in a theatre was a double feature showing The Longest Yard and The Groove Tube.  View profile
