What exactly is the bright light in the cavern and what is the big rock capping? The magnetic waves?
Is the island supposed to be hell?
Why did Jacob's brother turn into the smoke monster when Jacob threw him into the cavern?
How did Jacob find the candidates while he was stuck on the island?
How did Jacob get off the island to make contact with the candidates, if his brother cannot leave the island?
Who exactly is the woman that raised Jacob and his brother after killing their mother? How did the line of protectors begin?
Why couldn't those in charge of protecting the island leave the island?
How did all of the time travel and alternate universes occur? How were they able to merge? Because of Desmond?
How did the Dharma Initiative really begin? How did the scientists first find the island since it is hidden from the world?
What happened to Walt? why didn't he return to the island like the others?
Where did some of the characters receive their "gifts"? Hurley being able to talk to the dead on the island, Walt with whatever powers he has (bringing comic book characters to life -- polar bear), Miles being able to hear the dead and Desmond being able to see the future?
How did Charles Widmore and his wife learn of the island and what did they really want to with it?
What is with Hurley and the unlucky lottery numbers that showed up so frequently throughout earlier seasons? The numbers stop meaning anything?
What happened to the drug dealer turned religious character, Mr. Eko, after he died because of bunker timer was not reset?
How did the dog get on the island? I assume someone brought him?
Why did the timer in the underground bunker really need to keep being reset? Who first thought of its necessity?
What happened when John Locke turned the large wheel that moved the island? Who built the mechanism?
Why did characters, like Ana Lucia, Danielle and Leslie (Daniel Roebuck), die on the island and show up briefly in the alternate reality but not the get-together at the church, while characters, like Boone, Sayid, Desmond and Charlie did?
Who is the teenage boy in the jungle? Is it supposed to be Jacob? If so, why does he show himself to his brother in that form?
