Top 21 Children's Excuses to Santa

Please Forgive Me, Santa

Joanna Lopez
It is November and it is a week before Thanksgiving. After next Thursday, the countdown to Christmas begins. Every parent tell their child to be good so they will be awarded with the coveted reward of being on the nice side of Santa's naughty or nice list and get lots of presents come Christmas. The child tries to be good; however, kids will be kids. They will steal a cookie or three, or even talk back to their parents! Leaving the parents threatening the child to be good or Santa will not give them what he most desires this Christmas. The boy or girl writes a letter to Santa of explanation ending with the promise of never doing it again. Here are some top ten excuses they might write in a letter or in these days "E-mail" Santa to get them out of trouble.

I can explain Santa:

1."I swear I didn't do nothing."

2."I only hit Bobby to make him behave mommy and daddy."

3."I only took the candy to give it to my dear wonderful little sister."

4."I thought my dear little sister would have liked to ride the train/bus alone."

5." I promise Santa, I didn't know my little brother's arm did not bend that way."

6."I was going to give the balloon back."

7."I popped Cindy's balloon with my Beebe gun because I thought I saw a bug on it."

8"I pushed Tommy off the swing to save him from a huge bee."

9."______ told me to do it."

10."Cousin Bobby was in the way when I threw the book across the room."

11."I hit Bobby because I thought I saw a wasp on him."

12."I pushed Tommy hard to get him out of the way of the car that was coming."

13."I only wanted to see if the baby could bounce."

14."I didn't know F**K was a curse word." Daddy says it all the time.

15."I was going to give the shoe back to Tommy but he made me mad."

16."I was playing hide and seek with the dog/cats and wanted to cover its eyes."

17."I pulled the dog/cats tail because I wanted to hear him sing again."

18."I thought the dog would like peanut butter."

19."I saw it on television and thought fluffy would like it."

20." I thought fluffy would like the ride in the clothes dryer."

21." I thought fluffy would like taking a bath in the washing machine."

Merry Christmas!
