The first accessible Twitter client that is absolutely hot among the blind community is Quitter. Quitter is an awesome program that takes up very little resources, and it can be accessed from anywhere on your computer. No matter what you are doing, you can read and reply to your twitter without having to exit current programs or log into the site. Quitter enables you to install a number of cool sound packs that can be used to alert you when you receive new tweets, mentions, direct messages, or retweets. Quitter makes all aspects of Twitter accessible, and once you install it, there is no doubt that you will not only have fun with Twitter, you will become addicted. Quitter can be obtained for free by going to
The second accessible Twitter client that is definitely worth checking out is Twikini. Twikini is an accessible Twitter client that enables blind individuals to take Twitter with them anywhere they go. Twitter runs on the cell phone, and just like Quitter, Twikini enables blind people to have complete access to every aspect of Twitter. Twitter can be obtained for a very small fee of $4, and it can be downloaded from the Trinket software website. It has never been easier for the blind to make Twitter portable.
Finally, there is Jawter. Jawter is like Quitter in that it gives you access to all of twitter; however, Jawter only works with the Jaws screen reader. If you are interested in checking Jawter out, you can by clicking here.
