Top 3 Bars in Bowling Green, Ohio

Downtown Bowing Green can be a fun place to hang out with friends. Where are some of the best places to go? Well are three good choices:

1. Clazel

The Clazel is a beautiful bar downtown that actually used to be an old movie theater. As you enter, you are met by a large island that makes up the bar area. This place is rather big and has a stage as well as dance floor. You can even go to either side of the bar and follow a staircase up to the side balconies where you can sit on comfy couches in privacy and look down at the other guests. This bar has amazing drinks. The drink list spans from all types of beers, including the delicious Woodchuck Apple Cider beer, to wines, and specialty drinks. The amaretto sour is absolutely amazing. Many of their drinks are named after classic movies, like the 007 drink. Depending on which night you come, you can even catch a live concert.

2. Kamikazes

Known as "Kami's" to local students, this bar is a great choice for drinks and good music. They usually have a good selection of tunes that range over a variety of musical tastes, so ultimately it's nice for all types of people. It's not an extremely large establishment, but the layout makes it easy for you to dance, or just sit at the bar. You can even make a walk through and go to the back of the bar, where there is a pool table and an outdoor patio. The best thing about this place is that it is great for a mixed crowd. Everyone seems to get along and come together in Kami's. Whether it's the wide range of popular music or the drink specials, it's always one of the first stops to make downtown.

3. The Attic

The Attic is a nice choice to hang out because they have cozy couches and an entertaining stripper pole. (Entertaining because a lot of interesting people try their hand at jumping on it.) In addition, they have good drinks, one bar inside and one outside on the deck. The best part about this place is that if you find that you want to get some fresh air, you can head outside to the deck. The whole establishment is on the second floor, so you can go outside and look down at the city street. If you get a little chilly, there are heated lamps placed throughout the deck.

Apparently you do not go to the bars for their intended purpose...to drink.

Enlightening! I was a student at BG 1991-1995, and lived there until '98, and again from 2000-2006. I had no idea the Cla-zel was a bar now and have never heard of the Attic. Whoa.
