We are in love with The Dublin Pub! This bar is the place to go since it's the number one seller of Irish Whiskey in the state of Ohio. In addition to the Irish Whiskey, you will find nothing but Irish here so forget about finding a Miller Lite in this joint. This place has a signature item they call the "Perfect Pint". This concoction is 75% nitrogen, and 25% of CO2 with their Guinness, so make sure you ask for this to start.
This place is quaint, and all that Irish entails with some fantastic Celtic music. I have always enjoyed live music, but Dublin Pub has a nice round of local groups and those touring to satisfy the Irish taste. The menu is fantastic too with everything from Fried Pickles to the Reuben Cracker Bread which will fill you up enough that you can't order anything else. Although, I have to say the Monster Grilled Cheese is pretty good if you are a lover of comfort food. I know I am! Last but not least on my list before I go I have to have the Irish Cream Cheesecake. There is no way around this and all before I get a drink. This place is definitely at the top of our list, because with the combination of food and the drinks you can't beat it. You can check this joint out Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 a.m., Friday and Thursday from 11 a.m. until 2:30 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. until midnight.
Our second favorite is Gregory's Piano Bar. I love this environment because we can sit quietly at a table with the lights down low and listen to the piano music. This place isn't fancy on drinks, but it's all about chilling out and relaxing at Gregory's. Their drinks are a domestic beer, an import, or a glass of wine. We prefer the wine, but every now and then I do like a beer. They do have a lunch menu so you can stop in during the week Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. If you are planning a date night, they will be waiting for you from 6 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday night. Tuesday through Thursday you are welcome to hang out all day from 11 a.m. until midnight.
The music here is not just about the piano, it's about jazz too. If you want to here jazz and get something reminiscent of Miles Davis just stay into the early a.m. hours. This is another great place where local talent is getting noticed. If you play jazz and you want to surround yourself with an easy going crow you might want to stop in at Gregory's Piano Bar.
Last but not least, for the partier in mind, and those who need to release a little pent up anxiety from work Therapy Cafe is the place for you. It's play on words in the name is all you need to say, and when you stop in you will find out as their website says, "need a little therapy?", is so true! In here, you are going to see some cool bar stools but they aren't very comfortable. In the open floor you will find what look like love seats and slim tables to sit your glasses while you discuss all of your troubles.
They have some good basic appetizers like cheese sticks, chips and salsa, and chips and queso which we love, but the menu is nothing fancy. Now, when the drinks come on this place is a whole other story. There are some great martinis and my personal favorite here is the Orangegasm. Naturally, the drinks are all named to your condition, so it's the perfect place to grab an "Inner Child Grape Ape". This is a place for the carefree crowd, and a little more geared for the young professionals. This hot spot is open seven days a week Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 2:30 a.m., and from 5 p.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Does this place ever sleep?
