This place is very popular amongst the younger, earth loving and adventurous type, located in one of the coolest places in Los Angeles, which is Santa Monica! Father's Office It is known for its cool setting, down-to-earth people, great beer, a place where blue and white collar worker's, and quite a few entertainment executives can literally let themselves come undone after a long day. Father's Office is also known for being a popular gathering for MTV staffers who often frequent this hip brewery. I was first introduced to Father's Office by my late friend, Dan. However, I remember days when Dan would be in his office editing and working. We'd be sitting in on a late afternoon, IM-ing and joking, usually through Facebook on Fridays, and Dan would ask me to swing by to hang with him at Father's Office. At first, I thought that he was going to spend time with his father, until he told me that Father's Office was one of the coolest breweries and hangouts in Los Angeles where a person could get good brews, meet good people and Dan knew all about good times and good people. He invited me to hang out and so I went. Father's Office is one of those places that you ask yourself, 'Why hadn't I been here before??? This place is so cool!" Have you ever been to a new place, that you're friends have all been too, but always invited you to go, but you never went and when you finally did get the opportunity to go, you felt like you had been missing out on life and wanted to kick yourself for missing out on so many opportunities??? That's how I felt about 'Father's Office, the first time I set foot in doorway. I was able to just relax and be myself. No pretentiousness or Hollywood hype with the snotty types. No fakeness and even the executives that have been in the entertainment industry are 'real' at Father's Office and it is a place that has good food, spirits, brews, and where you can let go of your worries, meet good people, as you sip and laugh away your cares and worries.
Village Idiot
7383 MELROSE AVE
LOS ANGELES, CA 90046

The Village Idiot... Sit at the front brewery in your denim or khaki's or put on your best pieces and take a few steps and check out the elegant ambiance, where you can enjoy good food, wine and more. Having a name, such as Village Idiot, you'd think twice. Now a name like that makes you think twice about going, but also tugs at your curiosity, being that everyone knows that a village idiot is always about good times and fun. However, this place is a startling difference to its name. It's known as a sleek and swanky tavern, serving up some of the best dishes, with the best wines and more. I would also recommend this spot as being a perfect blind date meet-up or a couple's spot. If you have time or a long lunch hour, stop by and try the steak pie, and have an open-faced ruben, along with some of the best suds on tap, guest on tap, bottled tap, or my favorite, bottled cider. It's definitely a classy spot, offering you breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Give them a try and once you do, you'll always return to the company of the Villages' Idiot's and their delicious food.
The Other Room
1201 ABBOT KINNEY BLVD
VENICE, CA 90291
Ever strolled along the popular and well-known area of Abbot and Kinney? If you haven't, you should go, but make sure that your first stop is at The Other Room because it's one of those spots where everyone goes for good times, beers, sports, watch games, for entertainments, meeting up with friends, and social gatherings. Plus, it's located in one of the most popular places in Los Angeles and that's Venice Beach. On various days throughout the week, it is also known as a hip gallery that features new and local artists. Venice Beach has come a long ways and is now known for its trendy shops, odd and outlandish hip haberdasheries and more. The other room has become somewhat of a franchise now, offering their frequenters 5 locations throughout the United States. Locations are in Venice Beach, West Village, Miami, Tribeca and Soho. The Other Room is just a room with good food and spirits, it's also known for being the ideal spot known for its photo shoots, filming, private parties, and artist showcases from local budding and veteran artists in Los Angeles and Venice Beach area. The deep dark ambience gives you that cozy 'hidden away' feeling, as you mix and mingle throughout the room's mix of a diverse culture. Don't let the swanky and hip décor fool you. It's still your hidden gem of watering spot, located on Abbot and Kinney.

Post a CommentYou're right - Father's Office is a great place to hang out - but technically it's a bar, not a brewery (they don't make any of the 40-odd beers they feature)...
