Top 3 Burger Joints in Dallas, Texas
Dallas, Texas Offers Up Juicy, Grilled Burgers at These Top Three Local Burger Joints
1. Wingfield's
214-943-5214
2615 S Beckley Ave
You know how people say that the little hole-in-the-wall places are usually the best joints to eat at? Well, this is definitely true of Wingfield's Breakfast and Burgers. There's usually a crowd surrounding the little shack and you have to elbow your way through the masses to place your order. I've usually had to wait on average 15-20 minutes and then you have to elbow your way back in to pick up your order. Is all this work worth the effort? Yes! You'll be rewarded for your patience and diligence with a mouth-watering burger that'll blow your tastebuds away. Their patties are made fresh (never frozen!) and grilled and seasoned to perfection; you can enjoy the free meat sizzling smells wafting from the grill while you wait. Burgers come with all the trimmings and you can get either single or double patties. If you want to challenge your waistline, throw some bacon on there just for laughs. You can also call your order ahead of time to avoid the wait time.

When I found out that Twisted Root Beer was opening up a new location near where I work (SMU Boulevard and Greenville), I almost fell out of my chair with excitement. Their burgers will knock your socks off. Twisted Root is also a great place to hang out with coworkers and friends because the atmosphere is relaxing and fun. They're famous for their system of customers ordering and instead of taking a number, they give you a well-known pop culture character like Charro, Big Kahuna, Bueller, etc. They announce your name over the loudspeaker for you to pick up your food. They offer a wide selection of burgers (turkey, bison, beef, veggie, and I've seen elk and emu on occasion). You can also add toppings like blue cheese, avacado, jalapenos, and shoestring onions.
3. Burguesa
214-352-7376
2222 Inwood Road
Only in Texas can you find the harmonious marriage of delicious burgers and Mexican cuisine. Burguesa offers up "La Monumental" which is a monster burger of two patties, two slices of cheese, ham, avacado, lettuce, tomato, onion, refried beans, a crunchy tostada, and a cream sauce on a toasted sesame seed bun, all topped off with a whole jalepeno. All for just $5.00! And they accept pesos if you felt so inclined. They also offer regular "burguesas." But if you're feeling like you want to try a Mexican version of an upgraded Big Mac, this place will be a great experience.
