Back in 2004, Hurricane Charley it Sanibel, Captiva, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Port Charlotte hard. Thankfully, the residents are resilient and the hurricane season is a distant memory.
The Edison & Fort Winter Estates is a must see while in on your SW Florida vacation. Make sure to take a day to be able to enjoy the Edison Estates to the fullest. You will love driving down McGregor Blvd with palm trees lining both sides of the streets. It is because of this street that Fort Myers is called "The City of Palms."
Sanibel and Captiva are beautiful islands that will give you a true tropical vacation. With no oil on the beaches or in the Gulf along SW Florida, visitors can rest at ease that they will enjoy 15 miles of unspoiled beaches.
2. Disney World is known for Mickey Mouse and Goofy. Orlando is most known for Disney World. The fun doesn't stop with Disney. You will also find many family friendly activities nearby Orlando. Don't be afraid to look for cheap or inexpensive family or romantic activities to do while in Orlando.
