If you're in the mood from some great antipasti, you'll love the selection at Alfredo's. You can choose from the Freddi selection, which includes roasted red peppers and anchovies in olive oil, or the Scungili, which includes garlic, mushrooms, onion, celery, olive oil, lemon and garlic. Baked clams are also available, along with a great selection of meats, including proscuitto. The salads there are great, too, and include the traditional house salad, which will stay GFCF depending on the dressing you select. The Salad alla Rita (a personal favorite) offers more for your money if you're vegetarian and GFCF--this bowl if goodness is filled with greens, tomatoes, mushrooms, black and green olives, roasted red pepper, and dressing, but you'll have to request it without the gargonzola. You can make reservations or find out more about the menu by visiting www.alfredositalianrestaurant.com.

Ecco, one of the latest restaurants to join Atlanta's illustrious Fifth Group (a group of fine dining establishments in the area) is another great place to go for quality GFCF Italian fare. A salami seasoned with fennel, called Finocchiona, is a great option for antipasto, along with the great olive selection, and the Murcia al Vino, which is goat cheese immersed in red wine may be an option if you're able to tolerate goat milk. The pear, chorizo, and honey combination from the share and taste and share selection, and I especially enjoyed the grilled asparagus. Log onto www.fifthgroup.com to make reservations at Ecco, and to get directions to some of the other concept restaurants that belong to the company.

If you love pasta but can't seem to find a restaurant that will offer gluten-free varieties, you'll definitely want to check out Saba. This place is incredible! There are even more pasta options for GFCF dieters now, including potato and soy pasta. There are also some varieties made of rice flour that are equally delicious. There's a whole gluten free section of the menu as well, so you won't have to worry about something unsafe on accident. The lamb ragu is dairy free, and you can add rosemary and mint for a great flavor combination. Or, for a completely vegan and gluten free meal, you can order the vindaloo with extra veggies (very tasty). The Saba salad is delicous as well, and includes strawberries and dried cranberries. If you're completely GFCF, you'll want to ask for the salad with no bleu cheese. Check out www.saba-restaurant.com for more details.

Happy dining!
