Top 3 Gifts for 3-5 Year Old Girls

Holiday Gift Guide

Finding presents for children is not hard. But finding presents that will amuse and amaze them for months and years to come is very difficult indeed. Here are several items that my own daughter has played with and found very enjoyable. Some of these have entertained her for years.

The Fisher Price Kid Tough Camera for girls is a bright pink camera that is painted with flowers. But despite looking "girly" on the outside, this is a very tough, kid friendly camera. The memory is not as large as most adult digital cameras, nor the resolution as good. But this camera can be dropped downstairs, and no adult digital camera can survive such a fall. Also, it offers a slot for an SD memory card, which will take care of the low memory issue. The camera allows kids to see through the viewfinder, and also on an LCD preview screen to view the pictures they just took. It connects to a computer via USB cable for uploading and printing pictures, and features a built-in flash and a wrist strap for added ease. In short, it does everything an adult digital camera does, although on a smaller, tougher scale. Kids love taking pictures and digital cameras are especially great because it allows them to practice without wasting film and developing costs while trying to figure out how to use it properly. But until now, many parents were hesitant to allow the kids to use their camera for fear of dropping an expensive piece of equipment. Now little girls can take their own pictures without any worries.

Little girls love My Little Pony, and so it's no surprise that the My Little Pony Crystal Rainbow Castle made the list of favorite toys for three to five year old girls. This castle starts out as an average sized castle, but with the wave of a "magic wand" in front of the castle doors, it grows to a three story castle. It features many rooms, staircases, and nooks for little girls to be interested in, but what she will like doing over and over is making it grow taller. It has a lever that you can slide back and forth to make a pony on the dance floor dance. And the many toys that come with it will ensure that she will have a lot of fun pretending with her ponies for quite a while.

The final must-have toy of the season for three to five year old girls is the Cinderella Aquadoodle. Any parent who doesn't have an Aquadoodle is really missing out on a great toy. The concept for the Aquadoodle is simple. You fill a stamp pad and some hollow pens that are included with water, and use the stampers and pens to make drawings on a mat. When an area of the mat is wet, it it blue. When dry, it is white. The beauty of the Aquadoodle is that you can make drawings over and over, with absolutely no mess. When you are done drawing, you hang it up and allow it to dry so you can "paint" all over again. While all of the Aquadoodle versions are great toys, the Cinderella is especially great for little girls. It has pictures around the side that teaches them how to draw things like the pumpkin coach. This is a toy that really allows kids to use their imagination, and parents don't have to worry about any mess at all.

With any of these three toys, the little girl on your list will certainly have a great Christmas morning. Each one allows them to use their imagination, which is the best present of all.
