Top 3 Hair Thickening Products

Susan Brown
Some people are blessed with fine hair. Like me, they may have fine hair but lots and lots of it, or they may just want to thicken what they have for whatever reason. Today, there are lots and lots of products that have flooded the market promising great results if you purchase them... but sometimes they just don't do the job they promise and your hard-earned money is all flushed down the drain, as they say. So is there a way to skim away all the lies and garbage and get to know the stuff that really does work? Yes, because I have been your personal guinea pig over the years and here are my favorite findings!

Thicker, Fuller Hair Serum

I really love all the products from this brand, but especially the serum which works even if you don't have the accompanying shampoo and conditioner. I have found that this one has the best scent, but I also found it best to use when I have time to air-dry my hair as blow drying it seems to dry it out more. Used on a regular basis, though, this stuff does the job really well and it's only around $5 for a nice bottle. I think men could use this brand as well as the bottle and scent are neither feminine nor masculine.

Redken Body Full Plump Treat Leave-In Treatment

A little more on the pricey side (around $15-$20), but well-worth the extra dollars. It not only does a great job plumping each individual strand up, but it also adds a really nice shine to hair. It works the best the more often you use it, too.

Samy Fat Hair Zero Calories Thickening Pomade

Around $8 per tub, this stuff does what it says it will do. It strengthens even the most baby-fine hair. And it doesn't leave a sticky coating even if you decide to blow-dry your hair before styling. A little bit really goes a long way, too, so don't overdo it. It's really best to add it when hair is still wet from washing, scrunch it up into the hair with your fingers, and either air dry or blow dry. It's a little bit thicker than other serums that are sold on the market, but it does a great job.

Most of the above-listed hair thickening products can be a little bit harder to find in regular stores and drugstores, but I have found that I can almost always purchase them online on websites like www.drugstore.com, and sometimes at special discounts and deals. Enjoy your thicker, fuller, more beautiful hair with these great-working products!
