Top 3 High School Fundraisers

As we all know, high schools are full of different extracurricular activities, classes, and clubs. Sports and clubs especially are always looking for ways to raise money for a specific reason, whether it is for new uniforms or new bows for the archery club. Sometimes the classes you can take, like band or choir put try to raise money for new instruments or to take a trip to a competition. Either way, they need their money somehow and usually have a couple of fundraisers a year. There are a lot of different kinds of fundraisers, ranging from candles to spaghetti dinners, however, the following are what I believe are the top 3 and most profitable.

3)Carwashes- People need their cars washed if they want to keep them looking good. Having a carwash is especially good if it's a group of girls in bikinis. I'm not trying to be sexist, perverted, or anything like that, but seriously, what's going to draw in business? Most woman I doubt care, they just want their cars washed. However, I believe this tactic would draw in more males that it normally would and in return, more money with that extra business boost. Plus, if you have the carwash as donation only, a lot of people may give a decent amount of cash. After all, it saves them time from having to hand wash it themselves, does a better job than just going through the automatic, and goes to a good cause for that group of volleyball players wanting new uniforms.

2)Peelers- Every year the football team of my high school would sell peelers for ten dollars. Peelers are appealing to almost everyone. There isn't a specific age group that would like them more than others, whether you're twenty or fifty, you probably go out to eat every once in awhile or go out to the local theatre. Peelers are like coupons and they save you money. This fundraiser benefits both the people raising money and the people buying the peelers. I've seen peelers be valued to over a hundred dollars. This can save a lot of money and is a win-win situation. All the peelers I've seen expire after a year, so that's plenty of time to use all that the peeler can offer and do the fundraiser again the next year. There is no going wrong with this fundraiser.

1) Candy- I believe that this fundraiser is the best one of them all. It's easy to sell before class starts, and the same students will most likely buy a couple of candy bars everyday until the supplies stop. It's good to sell anywhere really, church, door-to-door, etc. At a dollar a piece, it's not a bad price. It's also handy since usually Mars and Hershey bars are sold and those come in fundraising cases with a handy handle. Take your fundraiser everywhere you go! It's not limited to just one area like a car wash, so if you're traveling while the fundraiser is going on, see if you can find anyone who wants a candy bar! A lot of people like candy, so like peelers, it's quite appealing. It's also nice to only have to pay a dollar instead of ten for peelers if you don't have too much money, but still want to help out.
