Brews N Bytes 20 Lower Mulberry Street, Danville PA
Hours: The only negative about Brews N Bytes is their hours. They finally opened for brunch on Mondays from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm Tuesday thru Thursday: 10:30 am to 8:30 pm and Friday 10:30 am to 9:30 pm Closed Saturday and Sunday.
Brews N Bytes has been in business for 7 years and is a favorite place on Google, not a small feat for a small business in a small Pennsylvania town. It is also my favorite restaurant in Danville. I invited a friend to join me and they were surprised there was no beer on the menu.
Menu: I often have a difficult time deciding what to order, their menu is mouth-watering. Brews N Bytes menu includes: breakfast anytime, soups, salads, appe-tapa-teasers, quesadillas, quiche du jour, wraps, Panini, puffer stuffers, stir fry, noodle bowls, smooth and frosty, specialty drinks and desserts.
Not only is Brews N Bytes menu a vegetarian, seafood and Indian cuisine paradise, the names of the entrees are amusing. They do have shrimp, tuna, and crab. I recommend the PaNooNoo Veggie and There's Tuna in Altoona Panoona Panini, Humina Humina Humina, the Neptuna and the Chipotle Shrimp & Rice Taco Wraps, the Neptuna Salad and the Thorough Thoreau puffer stuffer. Their homemade salad dressing is out of this world. Try one of their specialty coffee drinks. I recommend the Good Night Kiss and Yin and Yang.
Atmosphere: Quaint, cozy and artsy
Brews N Bytes offers free wi-fi, outdoor dining and live entertainment. The coffee shop is small but not stuffy. It looks more like a coffee shop you might find in Seattle, Washington will unique art and crafts decorating the artsy shop. The front counter displays delicious homemade desserts. The owner is delightful and a true customer pleaser.
You can play the bongos or other instruments set up at the front of the shop. There is also a large selection of board games and books to read while waiting for your meal. Brews N Bytes also offers computer repair services.
The Tea Gallery 119 Mill Street, Danville PA
Hours: Monday through Friday 6:30 am - 5:30 pm, Saturday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, Closed Sundays
Every Saturday at 10am, 1pm and 3pm you can taste several different teas for $3 and receive information on teas health benefits, types of teas, and more.
Menu: The Tea Gallery has been open for almost one year. They offer a large variety of French press European style fresh roasted coffee, loose leaf artisan and gourmet teas that are pressed with flavors, pastries and more. Their cups and containers are recyclable and organic. Try the Oregon Chi!
Atmosphere: Comfortable and Artsy
There is a large window at the front of the shop with a platform where you can sit and enjoy the view of Danville's main street or look at the owners' artwork on display. There is outside seating available! It is not uncommon to find the co-owner playing piano.
The Tea Gallery is more than just a café. The owners offer art, computer technology, acting Shakespeare classes, and digital camera classes.
Muffin Man 15 S D and H Avenue, a stone throw away from Danville, their physical address is Riverside, PA (570) 275-8811. Believe it or not, they do not have a website!
Hours: Monday through Saturday 6:30 am to 2 pm.
Menu: The Muffin Man has a large selection of breakfast, lunch and beverages that are fresh and taste great. Their menu includes sandwiches, homemade soups, pastries and muffins.
Atmosphere: Quaint and Inviting
Muffin man has a small town feel that is often packed with locals. The building reminds me of one from old westerns. They have wooden antique-style booths for seating. The smell of fresh muffins fill the air.

Post a CommentThere is another indie coffee shop in Danville. CityGirl Bakery is right next to Dollar General on Mill St. and makes the best cappuccinos ever.
Nicely written.
Sounds like some fun places!!

Nice job! Lots of details!
All I have is Starbucks.
You have 3 more than we have!
Its nice that you have three. I only have two and only one good one. Independent shops are the best.
