Ambriel Maji
It's important to know the ingredients that are in your cat's natural dry food. A nutritious diet is very important for your cat to ensure a healthy long life. If you want to make sure the natural dry cat food you choose your pet carries the top ingredients the first place to start is the ingredients label. The first 5 ingredients are the most important as these are the majority of the ingredients that should make up your cat's food.

Meals

Meals are made through a process of cooking animal fat and tissue to reduce moisture. Meals are made from chicken, lamb, turkey, herring and salmon. They are sources of minerals, amino acids, fatty acids and essential vitamins. Fresh meat is not a possibility to use in finished dry cat food due to the products designs. When high quality meals are used there is no need to add additional moistures to the finished product. Many times using raw meats can cause Salmonella or E.coli, many of these concerns are aimed more towards the pet owners who can become ill with handling the foods. These two bacteria's can also cause serious illness or lead to death in your pet.

Herring Oil

Herring oil is major source of Omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 helps produce shiny lustrous coats and healthy skin. Promoting healthy skin in your cat herring oil helps aid in the healing of dermatitis and dandruff. It has also been known to help cats with hormone balance, cardiovascular health and immune system function. Omega-3 has also been linked to positive effects on inflammatory conditions. If your cat is older and suffering from any inflammatory conditions making sure your cat's natural pet food contains herring oil is beneficial. This may cut back on costly veterinarian bills or inflammatory medications. If herring oil is not already a part of your natural cat food you can add it to their food by adding ¼ - ½ teaspoon of herring oil per day.

Eggs

Eggs are considered a very high source of protein. They provide essential vitamins (vitamins A, B, E and K) and minerals (Biotin and Sulfur). Eggs also provide imega-6 which also aids in proving a shiny coat and healthy skin. Eggs have a high digestibility that is easier on the cat system then other protein sources. Check to see if your natural dry cat food includes whole eggs to ensure they are getting the full nutritional benefits of the eggs.
